Biggby Coffee Ice Cube Brighton is an ice skating facility located at 10540 Citation Drive, Brighton, Michigan. Formerly known as Kensington Valley Ice House, the venue rebranded in March 2024 after Biggby Coffee acquired the naming rights in a deal with Black Bear Sports Group, Inc.
The facility hosts a variety of ice activities, including hockey leagues for all ages, public skating sessions, figure skating lessons, and school events. It features three regulation-sized ice rinks, allowing for multiple activities to take place simultaneously.
Biggby Coffee Ice Cube Brighton is home to the Kensington Valley Hockey Association (KVHA), as well as high school hockey teams from Brighton, South Lyon, Walled Lake Western, and Livingston United Girls Varsity Hockey. Additionally, the facility hosts the Ice House Skating Academy and offers adult hockey leagues.
Within the facility, visitors can enjoy the Top Shelf Pub & Grub, a restaurant and bar located between two of the ice rinks, offering direct views of the action. The menu includes pub food such as burgers and appetizers, along with a selection of beers and cocktails.

Read moreI give it a “one” star only because it’s enclosed. We understand that hockey/ice arenas are typically cold, but most we have experienced also have “heaters” over the seating areas for the comfort of visiting patrons. The Bigby “Ice Cube” is appropriately named because it is as FRIGID as one would imagine an ice cube to be. They have signs posted reminding patrons to dress appropriately, bring blankets, but even that is sometimes not enough for grandparents or others physically compromised to stay warm enough for the duration of a game. On top of that, the concession is not always open during games, so you can’t get a beverage to help warm you up even if you wanted to. A dreadful skating facility.
February 8, I am very happy to report that a recent visit to watch my granddaughter’s hockey game found the building and arena to have a degree of warmth not experienced in quite some while! As such, we could actually enjoy watching her game. Heartfelt thank you...

I have been in the hockey community for many years, as a player, travel hockey parent, and after hearing and witnessing first hand the operation of this facility it disgust me as a fan of the great sport of hockey. The place was dirty, the staff at the front counter were extremely rude to us, as a hockey parent I couldn't help but notice how many little kids were running around crazy hitting things with hockey sticks and throwing food in the pro shop. I asked the person running the pro shop where are all the parents of these kids? and was informed that the parents are most likely up stairs in the bar drinking while their kids run around the arena wild unsupervised. I am from Minnesota but I have been to rinks all over and this place was one...
