I reached out to Sonya in Nov. of 2023 after an incident w/ my pup attempting to engage in aggression towards me. We had tried to manage leash reactivity on our own, and had made some progress, but other behaviors like reactivity when people were in our home (HVAC, electricians, Orkin-anyone who didn’t live here) were incredibly challenging & not functional. We would put her in her crate and she’d still be crazily reactive. After my consult with Sonya, she gave me some tips and tricks to hold me over until I could get my dog enrolled in private sessions. We just wrapped up our private obedience training w/ Sonya and I cannot say enough positive things. There is a noticeable difference in my dog’s behavior, including her reactivity, which will always be a work in progress. But the reactivity is much more manageable than ever before and we continue to get small “wins” with her leash reactivity. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Sonya. Definitely make sure you’re going to put the time and effort into training. You get out of it what you put in. I will be enrolling my dog in the next level of training with Sonya due to our great experience and results!...

I had a great experience with Sonya! I have a 2 year old Rottweiler who is a very sweet dog, but also extremely stubborn. I have had big dogs my whole life, but he is my first Rottweiler. When my normal training that I used to do with my Boxers did not work with him, I knew I needed help. Sonya was recommended to me and I couldn’t be happier and more grateful for all the help and guidance that she provided! I did a consultation with her and even after the consultation, I was able to get some basic direction on what to do. I then chose to do her five week obedience course and it has been phenomenal! He just finished his last class with her this week and his behavior has improved immensely!

I would not recommend Sonya for dog training. I brought my puppy to the puppy kindergarten class. The class is large and Sonya stands where you cannot hear what she is saying unless you are toward the front. My second day of class I moved to the front of the class so I could hear her better, but my puppy was extremely playful and wanting to play with all of the other dogs. I had a hard time working with my puppy (hence the reason I was in the puppy training class) and Sonya had me move to the end of the line of dogs (where I could not hear what she was saying) and did nothing to help me with controlling my rambunctious puppy. Her handy dandy sidekick who was there to help with training simply made jokes about my dog during the time I was working with him at the back of the class and was of no help to me as well. I left the class completely frustrated and...
