I am absolutely at my wits-end with this place. Three times Iāve asked the cashier to check me out and they flat out said ānoā and send me to useless and slow āself checkoutsā while theyāre twiddling their thumbs. Sure, itās 10:30 at night but every other stop n shop has one lane always open no matter how slow it is. And twice in past, I asked a couple of guys to open a lane late at night and they did it without a problem so I donāt wanna hear, āthe lanes are permanently closed.ā Checking a customer out, is THEIR job. Not mine and I have my own job to focus on, Iām not going to do extra work because these employees with their āour customers are #1ā shirts, are too lazy to check me out. Yeah... customers are number one, because we actually do the employees job more than the employees themselves. Iāve worked in customer service and whether I like it or not, or has me do more or less work, I tend customers to their needs. I have tried to give it a fair shot but have had multiple pickup orders have issues with them including getting charged for items that werenāt received in the order, incorrect substitutions/not following the selected substitution instructions, gluten free items substituted with non gluten free items, and lastly produce that was bad/molding/not fresh. Groceries are not cheap these days and you pay a fee for the convenience to not have to go into the store so itās a bit frustrating. I understand that things happen and people make mistakes but itās become a regular thing to the point that I will no longer use the pickup option and only go into the store and shop myself. Would recommend if you are going to do online pickup to make sure you check your receipt and order before leaving the store. Ā Ā Ā Read moreDon't shop here often, usually only to stock up on sale items or desperately needed last minute needs. This week's sale was a stock up! We went mid afternoon on a rainy Sunday. We purchased some items from the deli which had a couple of people waiting and a couple of people working! Very little wait time! I then went to seafood area for the frozen shrimp that was on sale and there was plenty in stock. Not so for the T-bones, we asked a meat dept worker where they were, he "pointed"..we didn't see any or even a sign promoting them. I turned back to the worker & he was gone. I guess I'll try later in the week..I also forgot the chicken!
