
I had previously left a good review because of the stylist. This, however, is the complete opposite. My husband had bought me a gift certificate for afterfx. I decided to get a haircut. I booked a same day appointment and was assigned to Jimmy. I showed him a picture of what I wanted. It was a simple graduated bob for which I had plenty of hair to work with. He was chatting and then started cutting. I immediately knew there was an issue. I said hey it feels like I'm losing a lot of hair here. He said no this is the way it's cut. He turned me from the mirror and continued cutting. I stated again that he was cutting off too much. He asked to look at the photo and he said no that's how it's cut. When he finally turned me back around, not only had he cut my hair from the shoulder length graduated bob that I had asked for, but it is now a chin length straight bob. It took me 2 years to grow my hair out from a pixie. All of that gone in 30 minutes. When I said something he said we'll you put your head down. Rule number 1 you never blame the client. After getting it dried, it was uneven. I had to show him several places where he missed and that one side was longer than the other. At checkout he said he would discount my cut because of the miscommunication. There was no miscommunication. He did not listen. I checked out and left. I called the manager while I was still in the parking lot. She was nice and apologetic. She asked if I wanted to come back in so the could "fix" it. I said you can't fix it. It's gone. She said she would get with the owner and reach back out to me today. The only remedy I see would be extensions. I cried all the way home. I have an important event coming up and now I've gone from having an age appropriate shoulder length hairstyle, to a Dutch boy that you would give a 5 year old. I now have over 100.00 I. Went in and showed the “senior” stylist the picture of how I wanted my hair cut, and a picture of the color that I wanted my foil to be. She asked me if I wanted to keep the current blonde highlights or color over them, I said keep them. So she started to foil the blonde that I already had. At this point I ask if she is a senior stylist, and she said “no I’m just a stylist, I’ve only been here for about a year”, then suddenly I felt extreme cold on the back of my neck and she was coloring the bottom half of my head.... too late to turn back now, but I know every stylist does their own thing so I don’t question it. Then she turns me around and I can see the mirror... my whole freaking head is red... I wanted FULL FOIL not COLOR, not to mention sloppily staining my skin all around my face... so now I have messy red dye framing my face. Then she didn’t even give me the hair cut that I wanted... I asked for a lob that was shorter in the back and tapered longer in the front.... she just gave me a straight lob, no taper, and I had to point out that it wasn’t even on the sides either when she said she was done. Then went to pay and she says $85, confused I tell her that I was quoted $70 for a full foil, then she said that she was charging me for color and a hair cut, I went on their site and looked up the price she gave me and it was indeed for a newbie stylist, and that the girl that booked me quoted me right for the full foil with a senior stylist. And I booked for 9 am I booked for a stylish and shampo . But I ask the girl if she can do me a braid instead , I show her the Pic and she got so mad I can tell because she reply to me in a bad mood , we don't accept last minute changes, let me ask if we can doit . I tell her I'm sorry I didn't know , but if you can let me know. If not is ok ,well she ask to her manager and tell me that I need to pay more, I agree. She lead me to the shampoo area and I ask her if she can wash my hair with cold water I never wash my hair with hot water cuz hot water give me itchiness. We'll she reply in a bad mood 😔 and said she can't cuz the stylish can be done well if she do that . After she wash my hair she ask to see the Pic again 🙄 I show her the Pic again , she blowing my hair and she pull my hair so hard 3 times and burn my neck I didn't say anything but she noticed i make faces, but she didn't care. I was so mad at that point but I decided to stay ; cuz like I said I have my wedding that day . She charge me 120 for everything and the braid she maid me was the worst thing I ever had . I pay for nothing I go home and cry; that day was supposed to be my day and she ruined it .I don't recommend this place at all . I did pay $ 120 when I mean I pay for nothing.
