Went to Rooster Day and walked around Central Park it was fun with the kids for a short. Of time very crowded they had Rooster Day carnival inside the parking lot there and the rides were way too expensive and the food was extremely expensive so not really worth it as far as cost goes but it's broken arrow is Rooster Day and I don't see it getting any more economical for that Modern Family it looks like it's going to do nothing but Rising prize three years I remember years ago when you could go and it was all spread out to the old downtown of Broken Arrow and you could go into the shops and there was specials and different costs of items on the sidewalk and it was just real homie small-town type of a field that Broken Arrow has gotten this idea now that they want to turn downtown into a modern Millennial type of a feel place to hangout and it's cool and all but they moved the Rooster Day completely out of it and it's not as fun as what it was years ago but still can be fun but you have to try a little harder. So that's it for the event that I went to Central Park for which was Rooster Day. I know they have classic car shows they're in a lot of different Colin little things going on and it's a good place to go for that kind of a thing so just pick your Venue going and have...
Read moreThe Rooster Day Festival is held here every year. They just celebrated their 97th anniversary and they are the oldest festival in Oklahoma. Everybody just gets together has a good time. It has different attractions for every age group. They have a beer tent and live bands in the center stage right in front of you. If you're younger they have plenty of rides to enjoy. For the older adults they have vendors inside the community center that you can shop and pick up local goods (jams/jelly) and all kinds of fruit flavors. Plus a whole plethora of other items. If you're looking for a Bells(old school) or a state fair this is definitely not for you. The food is excellent and the vendors have all different kinds of dishes. You can buy from footlong corn dogs to funnel cakes. It is now debit / credit card only starting this year because too many people were losing their money when they reach into their pockets. I would laugh but I've done it at the Tulsa State Fair myself 🤣 I would recommend Roosterfest to my family which I've taken several members before and to my friends. For security they have BA...
Read moreI went to a Senior Health Fair given for one day at this place. The parking in back was unexpected and confusing. It is not laid out in rows, but seems like chaos. We had trouble locating our car when we came out of the building. The fair was held on the "basketball court" evidently because the wood floor was covered with some kind of dirty plastic sheeting making it very unattractive. The event was advertised as having free health screenings but we didn't see those anywhere. Just a lot of vendors trying to get our retirement money. It's a large bldg that is easy to find on...
