I scrutinized the menu descriptions and the picture details. There was only one item that I could spot, different than any other OkieMex or Authentic Mexican restaurant offering in Oklahoma. That item was the “Flying Saucer.” Essentially a taco salad served on a flat fried flour tortilla. As it turned out they don’t serve it that way any way. So, I can’t pick out anything that might make Los Victor’s Mexican Food, California style. And that’s a good thing.
I had that Flying Saucer with asada and my wife had the sopes with asada. The flying saucer was taco salad served in a fried flour tortilla bowl, not like the picture on the menu. The taco salad and sopes were loaded with the asada. Excellent asada. Both meals were filling and good. (Check the pictures) Beans and rice were average. The meals are delivered to your table on foam plates. Which means no hot plates. Yeah, I know it is fast food, but still a disappointment. The chips were fresh and the dark Arbol salsa is super. On the menu the chips are listed as $7.25. Which is outrageous, when they are gratis at most any Mexican restaurant. That charge may only be for to go orders. We weren’t charged for them. Maybe if you dine in, they are free. You are going to want them though, for the salsa. The service is minimal.
The food is decent, but you must get it to go. And that’s too bad because Los Victor’s has a little fresh salsa bar you will miss out on. Trust me though, don’t dine in the restaurant just yet. Why? When we walked in, we were greeted with a really unpleasant odor. An attempt was being made to disguise the odor with the unmistakable smell of a Mexican restaurant’s favorite cleaning product. It caused me to pause for a second and make the decision of whether or not to eat there. The best description that I can come up with for the smell is a bean, hard boiled egg, beer fart mixed with Fabuloso. As we were eating an employee decided to mop the floor with you know what …. The Fabuloso vapors were now overpowering the taste of the food. Fortunately, we were about done. The odor made for a bad dining experience. I hope it gets better.
The food 4-star/average. Get it to go and ask for the chili Arbol salsa.

Read moreJust got back from dining in. I grew up in San Mateo, CA and my mother was Hispanic and made the best tamales, sopes, enchiladas, etc. and when I found out that this Restaurant makes real California Mexican food, I was excited to try this. It took me a little bit to get here due to a family emergency and I liked what I had with a couple of suggestions. My sope shell was fried and a real sope shell (not a flat masa that you just throw everything on top and it is a mess to eat). It had my refried beans at the bottom along with the meat topping, cheese, lettuce and sour cream. Now, growing up - you Never Never, used sour cream on much of anything, especially on her sopes, enchiladas, etc. because you want to taste the flavor of the meat mixed with your refried beans, the fried sope shell (YUM) and the enchilada sauce, cojita cheese, lettuce. These flavors mix so well together and "bursts in your mouth" (okay, I learned that saying from Guy Fieri) - so I will ask for no sour cream next time on any of the items. The chicken and asada meat was tender and very good. I would suggest to have a choice of cheese (which I prefer cojita). My son had one Taco Al Pastor and 2 Taco Asada, and again, the meat was very tender. He said it was the 2nd best Al Pastor he has had (the first was not in the states, so that tells you this was good). The tacos had a great meat portion and pico de gallo. It also had a spoon full of guacamole, which I would suggest to have on the side. I rated the atmosphere a 3 because it is the old Long John Silvers building and everything is a bit old (tables, etc.). I am ready to try a few other items and make sure I ask for less toppings (no sour cream). I believe the restaurant would save money if they left off the sour cream and only used it when requested. I love making tamales and sopes at home like my mom, but my husband reminds me that we are quite a bit older now and a bit bigger (and need to lose weight) so, this is not something we cook at home much anymore. This is as close to my mom's dishes I have found in Oklahoma....
Read moreOkay, let me tell you, Los Victors in Broken Arrow is my absolute jam, especially when I'm craving seriously good, authentic California-style Mexican food. And if you're a breakfast burrito fan, you have to try their bacon egg fries burrito – I’m convinced it’s the best in the area, hands down! Beyond that morning masterpiece, I'm always blown away by their massive portions for lunch and dinner. Their carne asada fries are legendary, and I can never get enough of their super burritos and tasty enchiladas. Everything just tastes so fresh and packed with flavor, and you definitely get your money's worth. The vibe inside is always pretty upbeat and the service is quick, which I love.
Now, I gotta be honest, the parking lot is a little rough around the edges, so just be prepared for that. But trust me, it’s a tiny price to pay for the amazing food waiting inside, especially that breakfast burrito. If you're looking for delicious, satisfying Mexican food that hits all the right notes, I’d say you absolutely have to check out Los Victors. I’m already thinking about...
