Duffy’s Restaurant — Restaurant in Broken Arrow

This place is a hidden gem!! Just stopped by there today with my wife to try it out. The dinner style layout was nice and very clean. They had a lunch special for chicken fried steak and a side for just $4.99?!?!? So we went in and we were greeted by a very friendly hostess who invited us to pick a table or a booth, we chose a booth. We both ordered the chicken fried steak, I had mash potatoes and she had fried okra. The waitress was very nice and friendly and our food was ready fairly quickly. It came out to us hot. The portions for this, in my opinion, was amazing, and please keep in mind, I'm 5'11" and 235lbs, and this was enough for me. Everything tasted fantastic. Ate there many times over the years, 12-9-2019 was the first time we were not satisfied the food wasn't very good, chicken fried steak was way overdone to the point. Of break in instead of cutting.mashed potatoes were cold, fried okra was old. Father in law had beans for a side that were cold. Wife's waffle was hot but served with no butter and 10 minutes before the rest of us got our food.

Could be we hit a bad day, but I doubt it. Service was. Not great to say the least, they were out of straws, how does a restraint run out of straws? Then they were out of cottage cheese. Buth the winner was had to ask for butter for my wife's waffle, when it finally showed up it it had already been used! We always wait a few times to try a new-to-us place before reviewing, so here goes!

We've now eaten here 3 times (2 carry-outs and one sit-down). All 3 times, excellent service in every department! The 2nd carry-out, the (I'm assuming) owner caught that part of my order was missing and stopped me before I got to the door! The 1st carry-out was perfect! The sit-down was perfect as well. I didn't catch our waitress's name but she was very nice and checked on us just enough to keep us happy but not bother us. The food was perfect, hot, and quick. The prices were awesome.
