Very cute salon. I am picky about where I get my hair done and I was hoping I had found the perfect place. They were nice but not overly nice at the front desk, which I'm good with. But my stylist was a bit rude. She didn't talk much, again, that in itself isn't bad but it was a bit of a palpable awkwardness. Maybe she didn't like me, maybe she was having a bad day, I don't know but I felt like I was bothering her by being there. I have black/dark brown hair and just wanted to cover some graying that is unnecessarily happening to me. Their options seemed geared toward blonde hair or lightening of your hair. But, I booked the one I thought was right and my stylist said she couldn't do all of my hair because it was too much and she did my roots to about above my shoulders. I do have very long hair, almost to my lower back so that is a lot. But, I wasn't told that the option I chose wasn't an all over color, so I expected for $200 to get all over color. Then I was charged an extra time fee because she went over time. So, I show up on time, got only half my head done AND got charged for extra time?? I was not even told that was something I would be charged for, I also searched their website after and did not see that in the FAQs or when booking. After coloring she asked me if I wanted to have her blow dry my hair which is listed as part of the service. I guess I shouldn't have had her do that and I should have left with wet hair and I wouldn't have been charged the "extra time" fee. I also left with black dye on my forehead, neck, and ears. Overall, she did good work, I liked the cut and the color was good, even though I would have preferred not to have it all over my skin. I'll start by saying Madison was super sweet. And giving 3 stars has nothing to do with her. She was very professional and my shampoo and head massage was great. My only issue with the establishment is that I was very specific about what I wanted done to my hair and what my hair type was before scheduling an appointment. I wanted a hair treatment, trim and blowout and made sure to tell them my hair was thick, coarse, and coily. She gave me a price and I scheduled. After getting washed and blow dried and she started to straighten it, the manager told me I had to pay an additional $30 because it wasn't a "traditional" blowout. I wasn't quite sure what that meant but I assumed it was because she had to straighten it after blowdrying it. Every blowout I've ever had, straightening was part of it. Anyway, I didn't complain, I just paid it, but the manager did come over to help her straighten it to get it done faster but the straightening job wasn't the best. My hair was still frizzy when I walked out. I felt like it was a rushed job because it was getting late. I had to go over it myself when I got home. Definitely not worth the extra $30. Now my experience wasn't terrible and I think they do a great job with certain hair types. Again, Madison was a sweetheart, and the salon is beautiful. Absolutely stunning space! So clean, warm and inviting! I was greeted immediately, checked in and asked if I needed a beverage. Lynsey did my hair and makeup for my appointment and did not disappoint! I hardly ever wear anything so staying as natural as possible with a little edge was what I wanted. Lynsey took the time to ask me what look I was going for and she nailed it! She is so sweet, kind and patient with your needs and wants during your appointment! Can’t recommend her and her space enough!! She definitely played a major part in helping me feel amazing on my photoshoot day! 🫶🏻
