J & M Manicures and Pedicures — Local services in Brownsville

Over all the place is fine. Went there several times in the past year. Girls are all nice, and the place always looks super clean. My issue is the inconsistency with the work. I was always given to girls that had little working there. I think the owner did a pedi on me maybe once. And I never knew how long the work would last. Like sometimes my nails would look nice for 2-3 weeks. Many times though, they'd last like a couple days and the gel started chipping off or crystals would come off by the next day. I really wanted to keep going here, but too many times I wasn't happy with the results for long. Not just the lack of know-how from some of the techs I was appt to and technique, but I'm inclined to say that the quality of some of the materials. Might go back some day. Disappointing Pedicure Experience

I recently visited this nail salon for a pedicure, but unfortunately, it was a mediocre experience. The technician seemed inexperienced, struggling to properly cut and clean my nails.

What was even more disappointing was that the pedicure lacked attention to detail. While I was given a hot towel, it was simply placed on top of my legs without being wrapped around them, which felt impersonal and unprofessional. Additionally, the service didn't include a massage or nail buffing to give my nails a shiny finish.

I've tried twice to get a pedicure with them and they always have an excuse. I went today, walked in and the mani/pedicurist just stood there looking at me until I had to ask if she had space/time to see me. It was not a welcoming experience.
