Shaw's Marketplace — Local services in Brownwood

I am not sure if I have enough space to write about all of the positive things this place offers the community of Brownwood. Matt McCrane has always been an awesome man of integrity, honesty, and kindness as long as I have known him. He, in conjunction with his family and other businesses, have given Brownwood a place that rivals some of the shops in Fredericksburg.

There is something for everyone here and more cool stuff than you could ever imagine. You can get candy, ground coffee, fresh brewed coffee, art, clothes for all ages, and more. I went on opening day and despite the huge crowds and long lines, they were moving people through the line so quickly and efficiently.

Brownwood is my hometown and I would love to see the town continue to flourish and grow with businesses like this. If you are going to support a Brownwood business, let this one be towards the top of your list. You will not regret making...

First off, I love how this place is laid out. It is a feast for the eyes and there is something interesting to find around every corner. I love how thee design goes up as well (be sure to look at the decor above you too!). They keep the essence of the old building while making it a functional and chic shopping experience. As for the shops…I love that there is something for everyone and I could spend a lot of money if I didn’t pace myself! I particularly love the candy shop, the golden hour coffee, and the men’s shop with all rugged aesthetic/goods. Visited 3/8/25 on a day trip to Brownwood after a local recommended we check it out. We’re so glad we did!! One stop does it all…. Food, candy, snacks, clothing, accessories, gifts…literally something for everyone and the prices were surprisingly good. Parking was street side and free of charge.
