So sad to see what was a good restaurant go down the drain because of bad staff. I understand that my main complaint is DoorDash…but they have full power to change the way their DoorDash is set up. I tried to order the cowboy roll that normally has avocado added into it. I am also this 🤏🏽 close to being deathly allergic to it. With that being said; there is no option on their menu to take off items or ingredients on a roll, just ADD them. So I decided that I would order that cowboy roll and CALL the store to ask for them to take it off. Seemed pretty easy, I mean you explain to someone that you’ll literally swell up and not be able to breath you’d think they’d be more willing to not let their customers die over avocado. However, that was not the case here; I make the order for katana on DoorDash and see it go through, immediately go to safari and look up the number for Katana, call their number and reach a lady that I told my full name and let know I made a DoorDash and I’m allergic to avocado and to her “please tell the chef to not put it on my roll.” She said that they can’t do that because the roll is already made, I asked if there’s anyway they can have it taken off she says no. So I asked if they can’t remake it since I would rather not pass away 16 weeks pregnant because of an avocado, she said no. Just flat out no, nothing else in trying to help or relieve the situation, just no. She then told me to CANCEL my original order so they couldn’t “serve” the other roll to me and create another order with the same things and that they’d know this time with my name…ma’am…why can’t you just remake the roll?? None the less I just follow her instructions because blind lead the blind more often than not, and when I have canceled my $50 order I only get refunded back $10.45…wtf. I called back and asked to speak to a manager…bc I don’t have the money to spend another $50 on just some damn food; I get on the phone with him and all he tried to get me to do is come pick up the order in person and just pay for my other item…sushi roll on the house…ikr sounds like a grand deal and actually pretty nice, HUGE problem, I only got refunded back $10 and the sushi was the cheapest item at $16.45!!! So even if I DID HAVE A CAR…I damn sure didn’t have the damn money to pay for the lesser half that HE WANTED TO PAY FOR…ugh ugh ugh, simply ruined my appetite and my day.

The last time I went to the restaurant, I had told one of the employees that the sushi roll I ordered didn’t taste the same way It always tasted and I didn’t think it was any good or maybe something else was wrong with it My cousin that was with me also agreed that It didn’t taste right. I asked to order something else…the waitress told me I would have to pay for it even though I didn’t eat it and when I refuse to pay for it because I didn’t eat it, she told me that I was never allowed to come back. Their selection of sashimi and sushi is quite large and of great quality! I honestly think this is better than any sushi and sashimi I’ve had before, on par with those from DFW and San Antonio!
