Southwest Appliance & Furniture — Local services in Brownwood

I went to buy a part for my dryer and the lady was friendly at first. Then she went and got my part and told me the price. Other places in town the part was much cheaper. I expressed surprise at the cost of the part and asked if they could go lower. Both ladies gave an indifferent response and said that the part had cost that for years and that I should just go somewhere else if I didn't like the price. I personally don't like it when businesses treat customers like they don't care whether we buy from them or not. There was no back and forth discussion-it was just if you don't like it go somewhere else. So I can't in good conscience recommend anyone to go to this establishment. I would have paid the price they were asking if they would have just shown more personal interest in me and at least Acted like they cared if I did business with them. Sorry Southwest Appliance, you get a less than stellar rating...

The salesman was really nice. Took me to the counter to figure up cost and payments for what I was interested in buying. But the woman who was to figure it up was on the phone....sounded like a casual conversation with a friend. She never even acknowledged me standing there but kept right on with her phone conversation. I started to wave at her and tell her Hey, you have a customer standing here! I think his name was Jeremiah. I didn't get the name of the other young man but they were very professional and courteous. Great place to shop. Reminds me of the store I grew up with in a small town. We will shop there in the future for any of our needs. We have changed our minds. We can't get any service or reply. I'm going to contact whirlpool and request my money back and go somewhere else. It's been approximately 3 months and NOTHING. No phone calls or response at all. Worst I've ever had...
