Wilbur's of Maine Chocolate Confections — Local services in Brunswick

We were walking through town earlier this month, when Cindy saw the chocolate store - she convinced me to go in. It's end of season, so the town is not very busy.

We walked in an we were greeted by a woman helping another customer. As we walked around looking at the chocolates, there was a young girl, who didn't offer to help. We waited for the other woman to finish and then she helped us. I'm not sure why this happened, but it did.

Cindy chose a few chocolates and I was a little perturbed, so I chose only one. The woman did a fantastic job wrapping the chocolates in a very nice box - great presentation! We talked with her as we ate our chocolates. Mine was much too sweet and it has an old taste to it. Cindy enjoyed hers. I tasted hers and I felt the same thing - too sweet and a bit stale.

I enjoy places like this and as a small business owner, I try to send as much business as I can to them. My review may not sound too good, but it's what I feel. If the young girl would've helped us and the chocolates were fresher, this would be a five star review. But it wasn't and I felt...

My twelve year old daughter and two of her friends went into this store today. It was my daughter’s first opportunity to walk some of Maine street without me there. The woman working the counter made these girls feel so uncomfortable about needing help with prices and making sure they had enough money. They all ended up buying something. All of them apologized again and again about having so many questions. Unfortunately that did not deter the employee from giving them a nasty look the whole time. They apologized again before they left. I’m saddened to know that young customers who are just trying to learn how to do these things alone, are clearly...
