Recently did a photoshoot for a birthday party here and it was a blast! All of the kids were so busy running around and having the time of their lives that they weren't too thrilled when it was time for photos in front of the backdrop, but we got plenty of them running around and being kids! Definitely recommended for kids upto atleast 8-10. The pirate ship with the slide was a huge hit with everyone, even the adults! Everything was super clean and easy to set up. They have drinks and snacks for sale at the desk as well. Wish there was a bit more seating but overall it was great! Visit my photography page on Facebook @TouchofMainePhotography

Lots of fun to be had here, mostly for ages 1-6. Plenty of cubbies for shoes and belongings, and a good layout. More fine motor than gross motor (in comparison to the play place in Farmingdale for example). Couldn't take my kiddo away from the kitchen/shopping area, so that's all you'll see here 😂 Update Nov 2022: still reliably open, clean, and comfy. Lots of places for adults to sit that aren't on the floor.. Update Jan 2024: lots of gross motor stuff has been added, and continues to a great, reliable place for fun. They also sell snacks, drinks, and coffee now.

Great space for a 3rd birthday party! Our guests from 5 months old- 13 yrs old had a blast. The owner treated us like family and was so kind. Highly recommended to anyone in the area looking for a fun time for their little ones!

Edit: The owners comment is so outrageous! My husband and I are the most respectful people and always watch our kids and others! It is sad that she would stoop so low as to personally attack us and accuse us of things, simply because she can’t handle the truth. In fact, while the owner was away, we were actually trying to clean up and keep an eye on things, as there were some very rowdy kids there not using play equipment safely at all. Her response is such a reach, and it is quite sad that is how she reacts rather than taking accountability. It’s in very poor taste to say the least. And if you have children who have sensory issues with socks, long sleeeves etc. her place is certainly not the place to go. Sorry to the owner if you don’t like what we had to say about our experience there. 🤷‍♀️

Owner isn’t even there when we’ve gone, she’s always out “running errands”. The most recent time we went, she showed up about an hour after we got there and immediately starting talking about herself quite loud, then rudely commented on my child not wearing socks. She was very abrasive about it, and later on loudly shouted while in the middle of talking to her friend “no socks could cause some major injuries!” referring to my child.. ironically, a lot of the climbing toys there are safer to be used with either shoes or bare feet, as slippery socks make them much more susceptible to causing falls/injuries. Our son, who is still quite young refuses to wear long sleeves, pants and socks, so unfortunately the Rumpus Room is no longer an option for our family anymore. The owner just seems rude, and in no way understanding of children or what is safest for them using specific toys in her play space. I guess our play dates will be at the children’s museum where they cater to the needs of children and show friendliness towards the families that support their business. Not sure why she is even running a business in the first place when she always leaves it unattended for personal reasons. Seems bizarre to me.. and had she actually been at her business she would have witnessed much more dangerous play going on there, that we were actually trying to avoid. Also, they could benefit from air conditioning, that place is always...

The most recent owner of this baby and toddler heaven has exactly what it takes to make Rumpus Room a relaxing place for parents and a fun space for the little ones. Any poor reviews likely stem from previous owners who were difficult, and lacked early-childhood education experience. Since this new ownership I have been over the moon with Rumpus Room. The owner is relaxed and keeps the play rooms clean and interesting. Each time I take my 2 year old to play I watch him interact with all the rooms, toys and other little friends. His play is endless at Rumpus Room and he is never searching for something to do. But it really comes down to the most recent owner. Her relaxed and friendly disposition is what makes Rumpus Room an easy place to be where the little ones get the activities and...

I had so many great memories at this location with my almost 6yo son, having gone here dozens of times since he was an infant. Rainy days, friends birthdays, etc. Was looking forward to perhaps visiting again. Unfortunately, the current owner decided to announce that she won't be enforcing Maine's COVID19 guidelines. I asked if that meant she wouldn't require adults as well to wear masks inside the building, and she said she wouldn't. Then she blocked me from the page. She seems to be catering to the antivaccine, anti-mask crowd and I find that pretty offputting in the current situation we're all in. Lashing out at customers who are concerned about health and safety practices is a very strange move. The social media meltdown was so unprofessional. Hope this business can get back on...
