The JOY that radiates from The BEE Community is unmatched. From the moment you walk in the front door, it’s clear that everyone is welcome. I love how each artisan and employee is treated with the respect and dignity that they deserve. I have had the privilege to be on staff, to serve as a volunteer as well as a board member and I can say that The BEE Community values the lives of each employee, artisan, customer, and volunteer. I love the teamwork and collaboration between the staff and the artisans. This teamwork and love that is shared within The BEE Community carries over into the high quality of the hand made products that are sold in the store and the online shop. Our dog Sammi consistently enjoys the hand made dog treats and the foam soap and paper is my go to gift, especially for teachers! I personally own and wear 4 different pairs of the earrings and have some to expect compliments with each wear. The candles are another product that are at the top of my list, especially the milk and honey scent! With so many options for supporting non- profits and products to buy, it can be overwhelming, but I can assure you that supporting The BEE Community both as a donor and as a customer will be the best decision you will make. They truly are changing lives one...
Read moreThe BEE community is just about the best nonprofit you could support. I’ve had the privilege to see it grow over the past 6 years. They give adults with disabilities a meaningful place to work that meets them where they’re at, giving them whatever accommodations they need. It is a dignifying place, where all artisans are respected and supported. They have high quality products and services like jewelry, paper shredding, dog treats, and soap. I would recommend the BEE community to literally anyone, whether you’re donating, purchasing a product, or looking for employment. They have a positive influence on everyone: artisans, artisans’ families, volunteers, customers, and staff. I hope that the BEE community and places like it grow so they’re in every city. I know my baby niece with down syndrome will have a bright and successful future where she will be loved, supported, and could be independent because there are places like the BEE community. Please support them in anyway you can. Go to their events, shop at their store, donate, volunteer. They are such an impactful nonprofit everyone...
Read moreThe Bee Community is a special place where adults with disabilities find purposeful work in an honoring environment. Their products are of excellent quality and make wonderful gifts. We have a subscription to some of our favorite products because we love and use them on a regular basis. My favorite thing about the Bee Community is the beautiful example of belonging. Everyone has a meaningful role to play in making the community a place that values all its members and everyone's talents and abilities contribute to the success of the whole. We have recommended both the Bee Community products and the place of employment to many friends who have been delighted to learn a place like the Bee...
