What a fantastic place and even better food. I rarely give out 5 star ratings after 1 visit but this place deserves it. This isn't your typical hole in the wall Tex Mex joint (which I love btw). The interior is beautifully decorated with images of artist Frida Kahlo and the menu has many items you don't typically find in local Mexican restaurants. They serve breakfast/brunch items from opening until 3 pm in addition to the normal menu. There are several vegetarian and healthier items served here as well as pork and beef items. Looking at the menu on their website you'll see photos of many of the items, which are all beautiful. I thought there was no way the actual food would come out looking like these photos, but it does. Seriously, the presentation of the dishes is something you normally find in fancy resorts or uber-expensive restaurants. We were served house made tortilla chips with a tomatillo salsa, red salsa and a freaking phenomenal black bean dip. I ordered the Enchiladas Mexicana, which are chicken enchiladas in a guaijillo sauce with chorizo fried potatoes, Spanish rice and more of those delicious refried black beans. Amazing dish made with quality ingredients and almost too pretty to eat. My wife had the Tostadas de tinga, the shredded chicken is sautéed in a spicy chipotle sauce served on house made tortilla shells. She loved her dish as well and she didn't find it too spicy. The jalapeno green sauce that came on the side was too much heat for her but was great on my enchiladas. The service was great, our waitress was friendly and checked on us often and the manager came out as well to check on us, bonus points for that. I can't really say enough good things about an impressive first visit. Still need convincing? You get all this for maybe a dollar or two more a dish than you get at your typical hole in the wall.

Frida’s Kitchen + Bar is a hidden gem that beautifully blends neo-Mexican décor with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the vibrant and artistic ambiance—it truly feels like a space that celebrates Mexican culture in a modern and stylish way. The customer service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff who made sure my experience was top-notch. They started off by bringing complimentary chips and three delicious salsas—a traditional red salsa, a creamy avocado salsa verde, and a unique bean salsa, all packed with flavor. For my meal, I had the chilaquiles with chicken and eggs, which were cooked to perfection—crispy, saucy, and full of bold flavors. Paired with a well-brewed coffee, it made for a perfect meal. The menu offers a great selection of authentic Mexican dishes, and I can’t wait to come back and try more. With plenty of space for big parties and a full bar, this is a great spot for both casual dining and special gatherings. If you’re looking for great food, inviting décor, and top-tier service, Frida’s Kitchen + Bar is a must-visit!

Atmosphere: Upon entering, the decor is very welcoming and various amounts of prints featuring Frida, quote, but what draws your attention is the mural alongside the wall. The music fits the ambiance of the establishment and at the appropriate level so you can converse with others. Service: We were greeted by many staff upon entering and upon being seated, the waitress told us she would bring us waters and asked if we needed any assistance with the menu. The amount of recommendations and even going the extra mile to obtain some information regarding the entrees was phenomenal. Quality: I ordered the Tostadas de Tinga, it had a great flavor and the sauce that accompanied the entree gave it that extra flare of spice, but made it more flavorful. The portion was a good size and was filling. Looking over the menu, it looks like I will be coming back again, especially for brunch. Fili's Fave: Whenever I see an establishment with Limonada (Agua Fresca) on the menu, I always get it and this one didn't disappoint. Such a refreshing taste to accompany the meal.
