What’s in a Name is such an incredible shop and such a phenomenal experience! I found this shop while visiting Peddler’s Village near New Hope and it couldn’t have been any better. From finding out the history of my last name to seeing all of the fantastic antique original maps, this store is now one of my favorite shops. I ended up getting a map of Ireland and Scotland printed in 1860! I also got a infographic of the US from 1890. I understand she has to make sales, but she really overwhelmed the hell out of us. We were interested in buying a map and willing to spend the money. Brian was an excellent emissary to the past, and we purchased a nearly 300 year old map of Alsace, France; a newer hydrographic chart of NY Harbor; a framed map of Long Island, NY circa 1926; and a Map of a branch of the now Long Island Railroad. We cannot speak highly enough about the service, quality of stock and overall experience; to have stepped back in time ourselves is most precious during our shopping experience...we’ll be back! ...
