I am curious how does this place has 4 star rating?! Customer Service is ABSOLUTELY terrible. And the cupcakes are inedible.
My 2 year old daughter wanted a gringerbread man and a vanilla cupcake. We waited on a fairly organized line only to come into a chaotic bakery. When it was our turn (we noticed they didn't have a huge cupcake selection they had these mini cheese cupcakes mixed in with the cupcakes, to make it look like they had more of variety) Now I watched the lady at the counter take her time explaining the different cup cakes, cheese cakes, etc to the customer before me, when it was our turn we were rushed to make a selection, and the lady at the counter kept yelling at us "if you want to order a gringerbread man or anything else it's the next window, or else i won't remember anything." Even after following her instruction she still forgot things from our order. We were waiting for our drinks and noticed she offered every customer a sample of their gingerbread brownie, except us (and other ethnic family.) It was so sad to be treated so poorly infront of my 2 year daughter. I wanted to walk out the store, but my daughter really wanted a cookie and cupcake and my child is too young to understand racism. The cupcakes were disgusting, the butter cream has a strange taste to it like they used margarine to replace butter in the butter cream. The cupcake cake was dry. I gave my daughter the cupcake she could not eat it. The gingerbread ( you could not taste the ginger, it taste stale cinnamon cookie. Don't waste your time and money, I guarantee you will not only be disappointed by their cupcakes and cookies but also their horrible customer service. I visit this place on 11/19/22...
Read moreOrdered 4 cupcakes for $16.00 . I donât think that is too expensive. It wasnât busy however the girl seemed like she didnât want to bother telling us about the cupcakes!! They have a lot ,so you would think she would be a bit patient. If she couldnât be bothered then they shouldnât make so many flavors!! We ordered a triple chocolate cupcake along with 3 others and sat out side the store to eat them . We cut into the triple chocolate and it tasted like mint chocolate not what we asked for . We went in and asked the girl If she made a mistake and she said no I gave u triple chocolate. I said but it isnât triple chocolate it tastes like mint chocolate. She very rudely said there is nothing she could do !! We wouldnât replace the cupcake. BTW we only took a bite after we cut it in half. Thatâs very poor customer service most places would have apologized and did the right thing and replaced the cupcake for the correct cupcake or even check to see if they mixed up the cupcakes in error . I know the difference between mint and chocolate eaten cupcake that wasnât triple chocolate!! They need to do better. So basically we threw out a $4.00 cupcake. It wasnât like we ate it all we had a bite and it was a mint chocolate cupcake. The other cupcakes we ordered where just ok . We ordered a lemon raspberry cupcake , lemon cupcake and a peach cupcake, The frosting was gross and we couldnât eat it as it was hard as a rock by the time we got home an hour later . Donât waste your time or money on this cupcake place. Especially since they didnât have any concern about the error they made and they where very rude . They need to do better . I will never purchase anything from that...
Read moreWe decided to visit Peddlers visit on our way back from a weekend trip to Philadelphia from NYC. We made it there a bit too early for the holiday lights but the experience was nice nonetheless. There was lot of parking available, but it seemed pretty crowded for a Monday afternoon. (Must have been too close to the holidays) The Lucky Cupcake immediately caught out attention being big fans of sweets. The selection there is amazing! Lots of fun and festive treats to choose from including a massive variety of cookies and cupcakes. SOme really cool and interesting flavors. The prices, were a bit steep at $3.75 per cupcake which is something I would usually expect to pay in NYC for amazing cupcakes. I do understand the tourist attraction aspect of it which usually warrants some sort of mark-up pricing, so I understood. We got a few different cupcakes and cookies. After taking them home and eating them at room temperature, as the label suggested, I was a bit surprised at the cake itself. The chocolate, vanilla and red velvet were all pretty dry. The frostings were all good but the cake itself was dry. The cookies were okay. The staff there were all very helpful and attentive. They also had a lot to choose from and the shop itself is very cool and festive. I do recommend visiting the shop while in the village, for some good, not great, sweat treats. I would love to return and sample of other items for...
