Yesterday Noon bought their crab salad they make there. When i tried to eat it, felt like eating rubber bands. So bad and didn't smell good so I throw it out. I went back today just before 10am and asked if that was the same crab salad as yesterday they said yes. I said their something wrong with it. She tasted it spit it back out and said yes that's the crab they make us use. I asked could it be returned she yes bring it back and will refund it same day.. couldn't go back the same day so 9.00 down the drain. As I was leaving I had my hockey bag in my cart. Grabbed their hot chicken put it on top of my bag walked around seeing what else to get . grabbed coke, chips, water, cookies. A girl walks right up to me says oh you play hockey tries to pull my stick out that's under the bag sees the chicken grabs it says to put it where the kids seat. I said look if i put it there it bends and opens. So as I tried to put it back onto she reaches in both hands on the chicken and it spills all over my bag. chicken grease on hocky bag and backpack. grabs my cart goes to self checkout gives me paper towels but its everywhere both bags as I'm cleaning she says open the hockey bag make sure it didn't go inside i said it didn't its water proof she like well just check i did open it she looks inside. She said something to a black lady at register, I cant hear them then she leaves like nothing. I'm still cleaning then the black lady says well the chicken should not have been in your bag and that would not have happened. I said wait in my bag.. umm no I was on top. I asked her to call the other lady back, he said she wouldn't I asked why she wouldn't respond. She turns around takes her break. I'm standing their going WTF just happened. I asked to kid to call a manager and He comes up says basically i don't know what happened, Doesn't talk to any employee to find out what happened like he already knows and says nothing i can do. Then accuses me of putting words in his mouth. I'm like dude wtf is going on here. Manager didn't talk to anyone because he knew what was going on. He said no one asked you to open your bags , but she did 3x. No one is stopping you from leaving. At this point its very clear what happened. They thought i was stealing put stuff in my bag, she asked like she liked hockey said a name of a Kings player old one and we where talking about the Ducks. Asked 3x to open my bag to make sure it didn't spill inside so I. So I did and she found nothing then disappeared, black lady said well it should not have been inside your bag then it wouldn't have spilled. I'm like it was not inside my bag it was on top of a sealed bag, not inside.. I asked the black lady to call the other lady back and she said she would not , then went on break. Asked the younger guy to call the manager, He said I don't know what happened, and didn't try to find out or do anything just said sorry every thing got stained with oil and grease and their nothing I can do. No one is stopping you from leave. I'm thinking why would they. So I paid for my stuff but not the chicken that started all of this. Go to subway and I see the black lady on her break on the phone she looks at me then looks down. I told her you could have just asked me to open my bag and I would have, instead of this whole show. Missed open ice I paid for. Now I have to go to laundromat to wash my back pack and hocky bag. And in pretty sure its stained now. Came in on 10/08 the morning shift yo get some shredded chicken for tamales all they had was seasoned but they advertised unseasoned as well but the had no unseasoned out. All the butchers said its no more we don't have any.. So Darius came to the counter an said how many pounds I told him he then went to clean out the machine that shreds the meat an made what I ask for he went above an beyond to make sure I was a satisfied customer I then had to let the manager Danny Know that Darius An Renee were his star employees....
Update. 12-2-24 I slipped in the store next to the pineapples an strained a muscle the employee who cleaned it up said I didn't know there was a spill as he's walking to the spill with napkins to wipe it up smh.. I reported to Juan the Supervisor at the time who was supposed to report it to the manager well long story short I called the manager he said he knew nothing of the situation an said he was gonna call Juan to find out because he was off on the 3rd when I called him. The manager never called me back the next day or the day he said he would call Juan I was trying to talk to management instead of getting a slip an fall lawyer because I'm being ignored... I was told to go to the Dr but my Dr Visits cost me about 50$ Everytime I go an I couldn't afford to call the ambulance because that would be another bill I can't afford to pay.. It's been 4 days the pain is slightly goin away I started taking 800mg of ibuprofen 3 times a day The day after the incident just to walk without as much pain I'm gonna reach out 1 more time hopefully the owner sees my review this time because he definitely skipped over me when responding to the other...
Read moreMy first time shopping at Superior Grocers was a few weeks ago, I drove by it everyday after work, but somehow drove way out of my way to another Latin American market, one morning I was driving in late to work and really had to stop and pick up something for lunch, so I decided to stop. This market is not a large market, but I found it to be extremely clean! My next surprise was the same items I pick up at the other Latin American market we’re about $1.00 cheaper. I can say one dollar really make a big difference now a days. Next was the self checkout. Being that I only stopped in for a few items and the other market does not have self check out I was extremely excited. I picked up my few groceries, walked through the self checkout and onto work, which I actually made it to work exactly on time. I know I would have been late to work had I stopped at the other market. I have now made Superior Grocers my Favorite new Latin American market.
