2 Time posting my review, I wonder why it has been deleted, I'll save it and will continue posting it, because it is helpful to others and it did happen.
My daughter had an appointment today to apply for her passport at this location. I completed a form DS-3053 STATEMENT OF CONSENT FOR A US POSSPORT ISSUANCE TO A CHILD in favor of my sister-in-law due to my baby's dad and myself being unable to assist and apply in person today, and of course, to use the offered service from the USCIS with this application, which clearly provides 3 options: PARENT, LEGAL GUARDIAN or THIRD PARTY.
Mrs. Neisha identified herself as the supervisor in this location, she was the one that assisted us. After rejecting the application without even seeing the attached form DS-3053, my sister-in-law called me and I went to office to avoid losing my appointment, which was from 9:30 to 9:45am. My sister-in-law arrived very early so there was plenty of time for me to arrive after rejection. Once there, I tried to explain to Neisha about the DS-3053, she was very negative, didn't even review the form, another public server tried to help me, unfortunately, she wasn't able to do so. Even though the form states that a Third Party CAN apply for a US passport with a notarized DS-3053, she said no, only a legal guardian (with proof) or a parent. At the end after going nowhere, I told her that once that I was there I wanted to apply by myself, the documents where sign for my baby's dad anyway... She refused to assist me because my appointment had expired already. I told her that any post office accepts walk-ins and that there NO OTHER CUSTOMER at the time, therefore, she could assist me. Well, she refused and said no, passports required an appointment.
I told her that I would be posting a review and find out how to report it, it is not appropriate for a public server to REFUSE A SERVICE just because she's having a bad day, no reason to refuse the service and state that I NEED AN APPOINTMENT for a passport to be assisted. She said to go ahead and report it, that she "knows her rights". Well, first of all, she is a public server, and me, a customer, with or without and appointment, have the right of a service, she is being paid to do so, not working for free. She should be providing guidance and knowledge to customers, a good service.
I post this review because I did go to another local post office, and the personnel at Cypress post office was excellent, knowledgeable and willing to help. I asked if I needed an appointment for a passport and they said NO. I explain about the third-party form authorization, and they did review the document, the only rejection was "blue ink". I will come back to submit my application in black ink. The post office at this location should offer training to their personnel, two types of training, customer service and be up to date on applications to avoid this type of unnecessary circumstances.    Read moreStaff here is rude. I made an appointment to get my passport and I either went to the wrong location or something in the system didn’t go through so there was no appointment on their end. The lady said she would help me anyways, but she continued to passively say I didn’t have an appointment the entire time and she didn’t have to help me if she didn’t want too, that she was going on lunch soon. So I kept looking for the confirmation email, which also upset her so much she went and grabbed her supervisor and made it seem like I was being difficult when I was only trying to show her the confirmation so she could literally just stop saying “ well you don’t have an appointment “ like if you’re going to say you’re gonna help me then just help me and stop saying I don’t have an appointment. Well, unfortunately, I have the pleasure of dealing with them again, I got a package of clothes and it was split into two. I received half my order , my other half said on the way, and then at like midnight, I got a text saying the order was sent back to sender because of an incorrect Address, Which to me makes no sense because I already got half my order So I called, waited an hour to speak to somebody, And she confirmed that the address was correct because I read it back to her, She said there was nothing I can do that. I’d have to drive down or wait for them to send it back to the sender and then they’ll resend it. Okay resend it so it can be re sent back to them ? Address apartment number everything is correct.    Read moreOn January 3, 2023 I went to this Postal office to renew my passport. I waited in line while the lady -an African American- was attending an African American family of three. She was talking to this family in a very nice way. She was about to finish with this family when she asked me -Mexican woman- in a VERY RUDE manner “Do you have an appointment or you have a question ?” I answered her that I wanted to renew my passport, that I had everything ready. In a really bad manner she took my documents and stapled them as quickly as she could. I asked her to please check the information. She answered that she doesn’t need to do it. She then told me to grab and envelope to write the information. I asked to please check what I wrote. She refused to do it. Every time I asked something, she answered me in a LOUD VOICE and VERY DISRESPECTFUL. She refused to help me to finish with my passport renew. Then, I asked another clerk if the information on the envelope was right. He said that I needed it a different address. At this time, I was very frustrated. I left this postal office and I went to a different one where people were totally different. I am really upset for the bad treatment I received from this African American employee woman.
