Plush Salon Co — Local services in Buffalo Township

I had two Plush Salon Co hairstylists come to my venue for me (bride) and my bridal party. I had already met my assigned stylist at my trial. Things went poorly at the trial, so I sent several reference photos (one even included a how-to video, unintentionally) for a different, more simple style: soft waves with slick back bangs. A style my bridesmaid ended up having to do for me. The salon was communicative and stylists arrived promptly. However, they only came with hairspray, bobby pins, and curling irons. My stylist initially slicked back my hair at 2 different angles. She couldn’t see what I was asking her to fix until my bridesmaid had to point it out. I also told her that my hair holds a curl when it is cooled on a roller or clip, but the stylist had neither of those tools. Instead, she would brush out my hot curls and cover my hair in hairspray. She tried this 3 or 4 times before giving up and telling me that was all she could do, and it was how it was going to be due to my hair type. The other stylist appeared to have more experience, and watched our interaction without stepping in. My stylist finally found some large pins, curled my hair once more, and pinned up the curls. That is how she left me: incomplete, with hair the texture of straw rolled into rats nests, and on the verge of tears. I didn’t want to cry and make the stylist feel bad! My make up artist couldn’t hide her shock at the way the service was handled. My bridesmaids tried to do with my hair what they could given all the hairspray in it. I would have had a better hairstyle if my bridesmaid had done it from the start. The salon poorly managed the booking. Several of my bridesmaids had lovely updos from the other stylist. I found out later that the stylist assigned to do my hair primarily worked as a nail tech at their office. I had an amazing wedding, but looking back at some of the photos I am disappointed at how mangy and sticky...

Overall not a good experience and would not recommend this salon for a bridal party. Very unprofessional business dealings. We had signed a bridal contract for 5 girls with a trial hair date for the bride for a few days prior to the wedding. On the day of the trial, they called and cancelled the apt. stating they were too busy for her to come in...which was odd because we did make an apt. but ok...they did say they would be able to spend extra time on the brides hair on the day of her wedding. On the day of the apt., we were supposed to have 3 experienced hairdressers (as per the phone conversation when making the apt), however, upon arrival, the 1 hairdresser with the most experience had to leave for a few hours for her sons soccer game, and the other 2 remaining girls were either new or just learning how to do hair, or were not hairdressers at all , but either way not very experienced. The 2 remaining girls did try their best, but the results were far from worth the money charged. The styles of the hair were up do's with loose braids, nothing major. The brides hair was unbelievably bad, and she was very upset. Luckily the experienced hairdresser did return and did fix her hair, which was an improvement but nothing great. When we got back to the house, everyone said that our hair would've looked better if we did it ourselves. 2 of the bridesmaids had to re-do their own hair as they were very unhappy. The salon was very unprofessional and rude as to how they handled the apt. and who they assigned to the bridal party. They knew they would be short staffed and should've been upfront with us and we would've cancelled the apt. or reduced the amount of girls getting their hair done. We ended up spending extra time there which interfered with getting ready for the wedding pictures. Had we not had a deposit already paid, we...

I went to a beauty school and got hair extensions put in my hair. They did not do a good job. After three weeks of trying to get them fixed nothing happened. They were causing me pain,I could not wash my hair properly, I could not brush my hair,the braids were loose the very next day. It was a horrible experience. I called plush salon and they took me in same day. Jenny looked thru my hair and told me she never took pit extensions like mine before but I asked her to please try I would not hold her responsible for anything. And she did a fantastic job. I also had some personal problems going on and she was very compassionate and kind. I will be going there for all my hair care needs from now on and would recommend anyone I know to go there as well.
