This Market is a good place to shop with local vendors. Lots of variety, nice vendors.
However, thatās not why Iām writing this review. Iām consistently having problems with a number of older ācustomersā who are there to walk around in circles and not make any purchases, but instead are there to harass random strangers (both actual customers and market vendors) with unsolicited, unnecessary, hateful religious and political views. This is not a political rally, and the frequency with which it happens borders on harassment in some cases.
It might be worth the Market management putting up signs asking customers not to approach strangers to discuss religious or political views. It drives actual customers away, the people who are there to shop and NOT have religion and politics thrown at them week after week after week. It shows me that management is catering to hateful people walking around not buying anything who are harassing others. Instead try caring about actual paying customers, and having everyone at your market being treated with decency and respect. This is not how shoppers are treated elsewhere.
This should be a happy Market to shop at and buy vegetables and crafts, not a place to have hateful views flung around, ruining the vibe for everyone. I can guarantee Iām not alone in this experience. If it continues Iām just going to stop...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNO LONGER A FARMERS MARKET š Sad and disappointed. Been going to Lewisburg farmers market for years. It has always been vibrant, lively with local farmers and orchardists where you could buy their products in a small or bulk amounts as you need. It was my favorite go to place for canning. Also a wonderful venue for those who would make their own foods and products with the products that they raised or sold. That has all now changed... Since they've added the outdoor pavilion, the vendors have disappeared. New vendors have moved in that are basically extensions of restaurants. The growers have been reduced to "designer growers" with exorbitant pricing which is probably required to meet increase costs for putting up the pavilion. The farmer / flea market vibe has been turned into people selling flavored coffees, cotton candy, and other irrelevant restaurant products. The wonderful Amish baked goods have been encroached upon by boutique bakers selling designer style goods at exorbitant prices, which again they have to do to support rising costs. The farmers market worked as it had for so many years. Who's ever vision it was to change it must now face the fact that it is no longer a farmer's market, but simply a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot sure how they can keep taking my negative review off. But they owe my 450.00 dollars as they asked me to leave. The manager has serious issues asked me to move a custom make stand after the vendor who asked my why I was wearing a trump shirt and hat at my stand. Said it offended her customers. Some other vendors asked me if I was worried about customer not buying from me and said it would offend there customers. I found out that the owner was democratic and the manager are both democratic. Manager lied repeatedly to me about telling my employees that's she asked me to remove a stand it bothered a vendor. And all stand have to be a certain height. When I asked others about if a manager asked them they all said no. This sound like a fake excuse and it seemed to me and others that it was definitely politically motivated...
