Stay away from Ross as a whole, but especially this location. I normally really liked Ross and have spent hundreds of dollars at this particular store over the last two years, but the quality of this location has gone downhill immensely. Where there was once high end items with minimal issues requiring mark downs (like loose threads, or buttons missing) is now a majority of drop-shipped items that are cheap, toxic, and fall apart within months. Look up “Ross lead clothing” and read for yourself. Otherwise, my trip last week on 3/14/24 was frankly ridiculous. I took my sons to try on clothes and because the rear fitting room was closed, we used the front two stalls. It’s 10am, so the store is getting busy and there’s a line. Associate Zachary came over and told us that these two stalls would be closing and that we needed to exit as soon as we were done. We said ok, just finishing up because we waited 15 minutes behind other customers to get in. 5 mins later the female manager appears and says “she needs to wrap up, I have to close these” and flips the signs on the doors while my sons were changing. We said ok, we were just told by the other associate and our boys are getting done as quickly as we can (2-3 shirts per kid), we’re not bringing in any new clothes. She snappily answered that she wasn’t locking them in or anything but they needed to get out. Spent 100$ that day only because the kids had clothes they liked, but won’t be coming back. We overheard the same manager snap at and interrupt an elderly customer asking if a bench with significant damage could be marked down any further so she could repair it - was told “no that’s what the prices are” and puffed that if she really needed assistance she’ll “be back whenever she’s able to ma’am”. It doesn’t translate to text as well (as someone that works in service) but the attitude is really disappointing. We all have bad days but the service for a store trying to entice you to spend money is unacceptable. This isn’t the first time this has happened, just figured it was a fluke or two, but it’s consistent behavior. Additionally, while checking out, customers were called behind us (4) to start ringing up clothes before our card was even taken, so my tall teens were corralled to the entry doors to make space for someone else’s stuff on the teeny counter with a queue of only two people. Just makes you feel squished, rushed and shitty. To top it off, news broke this weekend the clothes/handbags sold by locations in nearby CA were contaminated with lead and other chemicals that SHEIN, Amazon and Alibaba were guilty of - likely all the same suppliers. Do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere with better service, better quality clothes, and better working conditions for the people that make them. Read moreWhat a rude and unprofessional front line employee. He was very rude on the overhead speaker with an obvious attitude that it was 15 minutes before they closed. Then the Manager comes out from the back and rudely tells my husband to put his mask up when he was just finishing his drink. I was blown away at the unprofessional, rude, and literally pushing us out the door. That is no way to treat your customers or did you not learn about CUSTOMER SERVICE?! I believe his name was Javier. Something should be done about how they treat customers. I would appreciate it if the response I get back from whoever, CEO/ Owner takes this matter...
