Rendon Meats — Local services in Burleson

I'm not gunna lie, with all the great reviews and people raving about how great they process deer, I expected the moon. I also went all in. Last year a buddy and I brought them 4 deer. (2 white tail, 2 mule) and result were abysmal.

I'm convinced the people that continue to bring deer here have never tried anything else, and know no better.

I don't order grind, I take my steaks before I drop it off and what gets turned in is boned out and broken down. I also don't leave it uncovered in their walk in "cooler" which stays about 10 degrees below ambient temp. ( at least when i dropped off).

THE RESULTS...... every piece of sausage I have tried over the last year is so dry it just crumbles on my fork. I mean it's just terrible. The summer sausage sticks to the casing because there not enough fat. Beyond that, the flavor is awful. I took it a good friend to sample that owned and operated a processor in arlington for 20 years and said nothing to him. He figured I tried to do it on my own, and couldn't believe this came from a "professional". I was told on the phone they add 10% fat, my friend assures me...

I took a steer to these folks and got shafted. After getting home it just didn't look like enough meat for the steer I took down. Remember this is my first time to this place. I took some of the meat out and it had packaged for lee on it. I looked and found a few packages had my last name on it. I called the people and asked and they said they had to check on it. Then a young lady got on the phone and said she just mixed the names up that all of this was my beef. After looking at the beef and comparing the two I have someone else's beef. I will never return to this place and will report this to the BBB. If you take your cattle to this place just beware. ...

This is a very dishonest business! Do not have your meat processed here. We took in deer on a few occasions and each time we felt the amount of meat we received back wasn’t right. I asked about it and got a rude response that this is our meat. They are stealing your meat to sell it and they should be shut down! And after reading many other reviews, it completely validated my suspicions. The ladies at the counter are extremely rude as well!
