Multiverse of Burlington — Local services in Burlington

The store is beautiful, clean, bright, well lit. Decent selection of board games, really heavy on D&D, I wish there were other TTRPG selections, although it was nice to see a couple Fallout, Cyberpunk RED, and Faith TTRPG titles.

The thing is, maybe my questions are objectively stupid, maybe my attempts at understanding and respecting store ground rules are not well understood, but it seems like every FLGS I walk into between Durham and Greensboro (with the exception of ONE in town that unfortunately is open something like every third Tuesday between 6 and 6:10pm when the moon is in the right phase) leaves out the "Friendly" in FLGS. This one to me unfortunately was no different. Walked in ready to spend some coin, walked out feeling like I was a nuisance.

Anyway, if you like D&D you'll find a lot here. I can't say whether other visitors will experience the same (maybe I walked in on a bad day, I dunno), but I won't be back.

I have been on three separate occasions. The selection of Legos sets, collectible card games, figurines and board games is pretty impressive. I am mostly interested in board games and their collection has ranged from half to a quarter of total available merchandise. The prices are high for the board games which is understandable for a brick and mortar store. One time I came in and there were two clerks and no one else in the store and neither one acknowledged my presence. More recently the clerk on duty was warm and pleasant without being overbearing.

Was really impressed by the sheer abundance of Pokemon card packs, trainer kits, and other various box sets! I haven't been into Pokemon since I was young but my kids are getting into it and it seems everywhere around town is always out of stock. I found out why- it's cuz Multiverse has all of them!

Decent selection of tabletop games upstairs too, I really like that they had a side section for kid/youth games.

Will definitely be back to support this local shop the next time my kids need to stock up again. Owners- please let me know if you guys start carrying Wise Wizard games, I need to get some of the Hero...
