I went to Sursy with Tammy and we feel in love with the venue as soon as we walked in. We were met with warm smiles and was served our beverages in a timely manner. We walked around the shop and sipped our beverages taking in the wide variety of houseplants they have. Most of the plants were labeled and how to care for them. If we had a question, Stephanie, the owner, answered promptly and with the information that was needed. We both knew before we left we were going to buy a plant. After we meandered through the plants we sat at a couch and chit chatted for over an hour. It was such a comfortable, warm , and inviting vibe. We even got a chance to hear how Sursy came to be. I couldn't wait to check this place out. They have done a beautiful job tastefully renovating this historic building into a plant and gift boutique with a bar and salon style hangout. Walking through the front door feels like you are entering a secluded and peaceful garden bathed in rich green hues and foliage all around. The space includes a nice and cozy collection of different seating areas to enjoy drinks with friends and neighbors. The bar features a modest but well selected variety of wine and beer to please everyone's taste. The rear of the store has workshop space for plant and potting classes plus shelves upon shelves of houseplants for sale. You can also reserve the space for events, parties, showers, and other gatherings. Grabbed a cup of coffee at The Blend to walk around downtown. Sursey caught my eye and I had to go in, not knowing what I would find.
