My daughter had called three weeks in advance to tell Tom Smith she was planning on buying her lease vehicle outright ( her lease had ended). At this time, she informed Tom that the state inspection and emission test was due. He advised her that this would not be a problem because they already had to due a safety check before she could buy it. He set her an appointment for Friday, October 18@ 3:00. Our daughter Aubriana asked her father to meet her at the garage to make sure everything was completed. She was traveled 2 hours from Pittsburgh and had to take a day off work, her father took a half of a day off to meet her there. Upon arriving at the garage they spoke with Tom after he tried to sell them another vehicle, he asked another sales person to take care of them Gavin was his name. Gavin took their information, drivers license and talk to the finance person and said he would get the vehicle in to be serviced for the inspections. After waiting over an hour my husband and daughter noticed that her vehicle was finished in the service department. My husband asked my daughter to make sure the vehicle was inspected. It had not been inspected. So my husband and Gavin returned to the service department. My husband asked Brian the head of service why it had not been inspected. His response was they don’t do walk in appointments for state inspection. at which time he suggested we try to take it to their in and out service garage which was a half mile away. Gavin called and said they could inspect it and to bring it down. Gavin volunteered to get another sales person to take it down with him. After about 15 minutes, my husband called in and out to make sure they knew that the vehicle needed an emission sticker. The guy he talked to said they weren’t sure if they could inspect it but would have the manager call my husband back. At 20 till five The manager called my husband back, said that they would Able to get it For the test, it’s reading your voice. It says the manager called my husband back and said they would be able to get it inspected and take it to the main garage for the emissions test At 4:50 my husband and daughter drove to the In-N-Out service garage to pick up the car At this point, the manager told them they took the vehicle up to the main garage at 4:45 And they won’t let them in so they cannot perform the emissions test And without the omissions test, they could not perform the inspection so after talking to He said that if we left it overnight, he will be able to do the inspection admissions admissions the The next morning on the 19th they never called to let us know. The vehicle was done, so my my daughter called them and they said it was done so my myself and my daughter drove to Blairsville to the In-N-Out service Vehicle at which time Told us that the emissions cannot be done because they reset the computer after resetting the computer. They cannot do the admissions test the car had to be driven 100 to 150 miles. My daughter and I went to the main garage to speak To speak with Tom whenever I expressed my concerns on how this Was handled said there was a miscommunication. Abi should’ve called you the appointment I’ve never known when you make an appointment at a garage a doctors dentist or anywhere that you have to verify an appointment Tom filled her daughters vehicle with gas. and told her to get the vehicle inspected near her house and send him the bill and they will pay for it we have been loyal TriStar customers for 25 years. Read moreUPDATE 05/22/2020 Just want to update any customers considering doing business here. The manager Greg Turchetta emailed me, told me he had no idea I was interested in the truck (not my fault your salesman didn’t provide you with ANY of the info he took from me including my name and phone number) then proceeded to essentially blame me for not calling and inquiring about the truck, even though the salesman I spoke with told me word for word; “I will call you the minute we can do business again and get you back down here” so I was waiting for the call. Mind you, I drove 45 minutes to this dealer, spent about an hour talking to the salesman and test drove the truck I was interested in. The salesman had all of my info. But Greg is telling me its my fault that I didnt call him. Apparently Greg’s idea of great customer service is blaming the customer for his employees mistakes and broken verbal agreements. Oh and to top it off, after reluctantly giving Greg a chance to maybe fix mistakes and offer me a compatible truck but in white this time, he tries to sell me a truck that is $2000 more and with more miles on it than It’s worth. Jim Shorkey has the same model year truck with less miles and exact options, and a better price. After that Greg has not responded to me at all and has not even tried negotiating a vehicle sale with me. Definitely the worst customer service I’ve seen in a long time. Embarrassing.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: Buy your vehicle somewhere else. Just wanted to let you know youve lost a customer for life, I had looked at and test drove a truck I was considering right on the day essential businesses were to close. The salesman was supposed to call me once you resumed sales so I could buy the truck. Well now I see on your website you sold the exact truck to someone else and never even contacted me. Thats disrespectful shady practices and I want everyone to know you are not a reputable dealer and dont care about your customers, just their money. I will be posting reviews to yelp, google and facebook as well. People should be warned to avoid your business and its...

Original review: I drove over 500 miles to pick up a 2019 Ram Limited that I agreed on purchasing. I have dealt with Tom Smith who has promised that the cars condition is flawless as it is certified and such. I specifically asked him for bed condition as it was a pick up truck and I have seen many in poor condition while shopping around. I also asked about oil change that I'd like to have done before picking it up. Upon arrival I noticed that: car has scratched bumper(deep large scratches) , large scratches/paint defects on body in bed area on drivers side and hatch, rear hatch has two large dents. Interior was not cleaned. Rear center seat had large stain from food(cleaned it off with a wipe myself, but it was an unpleasant surprise). Underbody of the car is covered in dried mud. Oil change on car display shows that it was completed some time ago which is not what sales person claimed ("just changed at certification" is what he told me). People at office were not able to do anything about the issues and put me in a situation "take it or leave it". This is a horrible service while purchasing a $45thousand dollar truck. I got treated better when buying a $3000 civic many years back. It is a shame that such large dealership does not care about the customer. Response from a salesperson on duty was "You got a good deal on the truck, I don't even know why we're selling it to you for this low". It is not a matter of agreed price on a truck, but a matter of promised condition of the truck upon arrival and honesty.
On a good note, financing team is great! Followed through and made sure everything is taken care of on their end.
Now I have a parked truck waiting to get bumper repaired, paint touched up, PDR take care of the dents and Interior, exterior,...
