Days Inn by Wyndham Blairsville — Hotel in Burrell Township

The front desk woman who's name I was unable to get had abysmal demeanor and was clearly in the wrong career. She was short, rude and anything but customer service oriented. We arrived from 6 hour drive (1:55pm) prior to 3 pm check in and they were not able to accommodate an early check in , The front desk lady said " your room aint ready come back at 3" .... upon my return at 3pm, I was yet again told my room wasnt ready... she offered no apology or excuse .... at this point the owner stepped into the front area and held a warm welcoming greeting. She indicated my room would be ready in 5 minutes, as I was pressed for time having an event in the area at 4 , I was stuck and could not make other accommodations. Checked in at 3:10 pm returned to room to sleep by 10pm and was checked out by 5am

As for the establishment-facilities,The crisp and modern updates "in progress" can be seen all around, clean and tidy spaces. It was unfortunate the double queen room advertised had the smallest queen if you could possibly call it that?(more like an oversized twin) I have ever seen. The bedding on the beds was also in need up upgrade.

The front desk gentleman who checked us out was much improved over the evening lady.

I stayed at this hotel in June 2025 and had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had while traveling. I originally left a review, but when I came back to check on it, I noticed it had been removed. Because of how serious the issues were, I feel it’s important to share again.

• My original room had a toilet that flooded the bathroom. I was moved two additional times after that due to problems in the rooms.

• In one room, the air conditioning unit was covered in mold. In another, the hotel phone wasn’t even connected to the wall, and multiple light fixtures were missing bulbs.

• The shower had visible mold, and the main areas of the hotel had no working air conditioning.

• Security was a major concern, as outside doors were propped open through the night.

• Most concerning, my aunt was asked to vacate her room after housekeeping confirmed a bed bug. She was told she had to leave so the room could be sprayed- we chose to get a refund and find a new place to stay.

Between the mold, flooding, broken amenities, bed bugs, and safety issues, this was an unacceptable experience. I cannot recommend this...

I do not recommend this hotel. Everything was complicated from the time of check in to the check out. The check in process was tedious and long. The rooms were not stocked and we had to repeatedly go out for towels and bath supplies. Then when the rooms were cleaned, they were not replaced. The website listed amenities such as a pool and roll away beds, but the hotel had NEITHER. My kids were disappointed in the pool, which was empty with a shovel in it. I would have brought an air mattress but did not since the website stayed there were roll away beds. So my teenage children were crammed in the beds. The bed frame had large pieces of metal sticking out that we tripped over constantly. The check out process was ridiculous. We tried to pay with a different card than the one we held the dl with, which we were told was possible. It was tedious for the staff and resulted in me being charged twice for the room. The only positive things were the rooms were moderately clean and the continental breakfast was decent. Very little of my stay was relaxing and I would not recommend this hotel or stay here...
