I am currently sitting in the ER. The overseeing doctor didn't even wait to enter as he knocked when entering the room, he came off as extremely bothered that I even came in here. I was in a week ago for a protuding disc in my lower back. That overseeing doctor was wonderful with me. That meant the world to me Especially since I have a phobia of doctors telling me bad news , or just not even taking the time to really figure out the issue holisticly. Anyway, tonight this ER degreed doctor has struck a nerve. Oddly enough that is why I'm here, my protuding disc is striking a nerve. He was first trying to just say without saying that It's pointless for me to be here. To me I'm hurting so bad and i was worried about my blood circulation. He finally was like fine I'll check you. And as he is doing the physical he just came off as irritated and I don't want to ever come back if he is on duty. The nurses, were great, and if I sensed any things from them I would say it's having to work with doctor not a people person. He told me to personally find my own neurologist or oncologist up in the city. He would look for a number but doubted he could one. Basically this was a wasted trip. I do not feel any better actually I feel worse and like this hospital is a joke. At least it has been under tonight's er doctor oversite site. All of this is just my personal opinion on the situation and how it made me feel. You should do your own research have your own experience the nurses they were great, Dr. Johnston last week made me feel so comfortable and like he cared which was exactly what I needed! Tonight I have just felt like I'm in the way. I don't regularly visit the er. I hate hospitals. People need to be more compassionate. You never know what someone has been thru. Be kind, be how you would want to be treated. I want to say to finish this out is if he is the one on oversight and I have an emergency probably risk driving 25 mind north to hville before I put my life in this person's hands. Take care. Thank you to all of those real...
Read moreUpon receipt of my medical records from 8/14, after I had to repeatedly request my records, and am still missing diagnostic data on an EKG, I was mortified and shocked to learn that Bates ER personnel were trying to test me for illicit drug usage without my knowledge nor consent. Alcohol was actually tested in this manner, unbeknownst to me nor consented to by me (and FYI, it was negative), and I was refused testing for a possible autoimmune flare up as was necessary. Instead, I was subject to abuse and neglect, an insistence I was pregnant with a doctor yelling out my female childbearing status for all to hear and then the staff had the audacity to falsify medical records to insinuate that I'm a drug addict. While there, I was verbally requested a urine test for pregnancy and a UTI which I determined unnecessary and declined due to the reasoning for same. It was then put into my records that I was avoiding drug testing I knew nothing at all about and which was also unnecessary (and unlawful, as I was not brought in for a crime by an officer). It was also put into my records that I "urinated" in a bathroom with my husband. I have been requesting the local police to check the bathrooms for cameras, as there is no way anyone knows what I did in the bathroom that day without being present or having a recorder in the bathroom with patients. Patients Beware: Check the bathrooms before using them there for surveillance and check your medical records upon discharge, as you may be very surprised at what is included, and expected that you will pay for. Also be sure to audio record your visit there so you can prove their...
Read moreThis does not even deserve 1 star if there was a negative star rating it would go here. All I can advise any people that have any common sense is DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU VALUE YOU LIFE!!! Dr. David Bixler is a discriminatory racist and literally discriminated against me in front of my accompanying parties. In addition this he requested the nurses do blood work and urinalysis. I studied to be an RN, I am no idiot. As soon as Dr David Bixler made is discriminatory comment, he said he was sending me home with an antibiotic and a medication I am allergic to. I once again repeated to him that I was allergic to this medication and he ignored me from then on. In addition to this I had been there less than 2 hours. It takes 2 hours or more to get results from urinalysis and blood work. No one made reference to any of this. A male nurse named âJeffâ is completely rude and incompetent, and got an attitude with me when I refused to be given an antibiotic when nothing had been done to diagnose me. Fed up and erratic with this still suffering from my symptoms I was driven to the nearest hospital an hour away and they actually ran test and diagnostics and found what IS REALLY WRONG WITH ME. WHICH IS NOTHING NEAR WHAT DAVID BIXLER CLAIMED IS WRONG WITH ME. I HOPE THE OWNERS OF THIS FACILITY READ THIS AND I WILL SEE YOU DAVID BIXLER IN COURT FOR...
