If I could give this place a 0 I would. My family went to an event recently where they bought premium seating and were asked to move several times. After politely moving each time, the final time they were asked, the “event manager” had asked them to move and when my mother questioned her she told her she was being belligerent and asked her to leave. My mother was in no way being “belligerent” towards this woman whatsoever. In fact she was embarrassed by how the manager treated her. She asked for her money back and left without acting “belligerent” even after being berated and embarrassed. After I had made a public Facebook review about this situation, a so called “volunteer” and “friend” of the “event manager”, made a nasty public comment on the review I had wrote, stating that the premium seating tickets that my family purchased were not built for “fuller figured people”. If you are going to make a shameful public comment about a person’s weight or appearance that is pathetic and unprofessional, especially for someone representing the theater as a volunteer. If “premium seating” tickets are not available for all paying customers of all body types, that’s not being very inclusive. If Penn Theater demonstrates discrimination towards “fuller figured” persons like this “volunteer” had stated, who else are they going to discriminate towards? Never will I step foot in this...

Had a terrible, lousy week, drove 5 hours to get here, dropped my car keys down a sewer geate out front..and even though it was a fam member who nabbed them for me, Trevor- you made my whole weekend! Why is it when you think the world is at its lowest, and people are at their worst- that a sweet, understanding person comes along and gives you compassion and hope! You made my weekend! And whoever was selling the 50/50 tickets- what a sweet lady!! And the poor young guy when we first.came in- I know he wished he could've helped us. Those guys had the best energy and they seemed unstoppable! What great...
Read moreAs someone who has had the honour of watching the “rebuild” of the Penn Theatre, I cannot recommend this venue enough! From our childhood days of dollar movies to now this beautiful venue with headliner shows, the Penn Theatre has grown alongside each of us. On my first visit to the newly refurbished, more adult-oriented setting, I found it offered everything you’d expect from venues in “bigger cities”. Our VIP Box easily accommodated our entire party (of all sizes), and we were thrilled to have our own personal server—who was absolutely amazing. I did not meet the Executive Director personally, but the staff members that we encountered were helpful, knowledgeable in their area, and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work. Thank you for bringing this nostalgic theatre back to its former glory. We will...
