Gilligan's Tobacco Shop — Local services in Butte

I didn't know what to make of this place for the first few years then, I went in. They have great service and did a great job during the pandemic (spring) with their drive through-only service. They have a good humidor room and they seem to be stocking more cigar brands now. I have gotten some dry ones on occasion but most have been good and they do a 20% off day on the 20th of each month. They have a smaller liquor section with some of the best prices in town. They also have a decent beer selection. I've never had to wait in a line and the staff is well trained and super-friendly. My sister and I were in gambling the afternoon of 10/1, very easy going and not demanding of anything. Wouldn’t have mattered if we were demanding though because we had to interrupt the managers pizza party with his friends to ask for new drinks. Before he traded shifts he charged us for our beers (we were $80 in and max betting so that confused us) what really got us however was when we were openly called the hard C’s while he was walking away…. For doing absolutely nothing, we have no clue what sparked it 😅 we both work in the bar & casino industry and could never fathom this being acceptable behavior. The liquor store, lounge and casino are average at best but the cigar humidor and cigar section are very poor. I have gone in multiple times over the past year to find the humidor locked because of one issue or another. The majority of cigars I have purchased are very dry and 20-25% of them have been broken. Although they have a decent selection of types, they tend to carry a very limited number of brands. The prices are, on average, twice as high as other stores. For exampld a box of 25 Garcia y Vega pops crystals sells for $37.50 at Town Pump convenience stores, but at Gilligans, they are $75.00 for the same box.
