Cabot Travel Plaza — Local services in Cabot

This Exxon station has been here since I can remember. It was a great place to eat for breakfast and lunch and dinner because of this being a truck stop. However it is fairly easy to get to if you are heading North to St Louis. You just need to make sure you take the second Cabot exit to Hwy #5 and it circles around to give you the far right lane and you pass over the bridge and to gain entrance to the station/ Truck stop, you can turn right at the light and the truck entrance is to the left before the travel trailer dealer/ U-Haul rental. You want to watch your speed through this whole intersection of the truck stop being there is usually a Smokey sitting on the other side of the road from the truck entrance and I have seen them at all times of the day and night and mornings. In my opinion it's easier to go through the light and the middle driveway will take you straight to the pumps and the front door entrance to the bathroom and they are to the right just as soon as you go through the front door entrance and then you can see the restrooms on your left. If you are wondering what used to be through the door right there in the center and right at the bathrooms that's what used to be the Huddle house and I have seen it as a Mexican restaurant and now it is a storage room for the truck stop and it makes me feel sad to see it like that when I have a memory or two of way you could smell the pancakes and sausage in the mornings when we were there filling up the boats and the trucks on the way to Heber Springs and Greer's ferry Lakes which is about 45min to an hour or so away drive through the hills and the beginning of the Ozark Mountain range. Some of the employees will not give you all the money you win on the lottery. They conveniently lose one of your tickets, and it's not like you can see what they are doing behind the counter. They drop them on the floor, and when asked about it by another employee, they respond with I already scanned that one. But they don't pick it up to rescan it to see.

Just a couple of nights ago I went in with some scratch offs. I had counted and checked them three times before I took them to cash them in. I came up with the same amount of money I won each time. But when I handed them to the girl behind the counter one of the scratch offs magically disappeared. Of course I asked her why the amount was different from what I calculated and she basically ignored me and continued to give me less than what I won and was blowing me off. So, I asked her again why the amount was different. She no longer had my scratch offs to recheck them because she tore them up and threw them in the trash. Once she did that they were mixed up with all the others. I told her to forget it. I would just lose out on the money. But I will never go back in there and have them scan anymore...

I got 25 dollars worth of gas. They charged me an extra 150 dollars. Has been five days and they still won’t give the 150 back. So you’re going to charge me 175 for 25 worth of gas?? If this place has to make sure you have over a hundred dollars in your account just to give you 25 dollars worth of gas? No thanks. Still waiting on my money that they’re holding up that I needed to pay my bills. Will never never never never never never never stop at this station again. If they’re to low iq to put up signs that say they’ll take all of your money and not give it back. Don’t come here. Pls save your time and money. Do not get gas or food here. They steal money.
