Topanga Center — Local services in Calabasas

I attended the new Topanga Art Gallery location in Topanga Canyon last Sunday. A lovely gallery, great and varied art, and a free class in alcohol ink painting.

NOTE: There are at least two different locales mixed together in these reviews. The locale I wrote about is in the Canyon itself (in town of Topanga, halfway thru canyon toward beach.). I am so confused at the reviews. We came because we were in Malibu and saw the review that said “Large new mall with a nice variety of upscale shops”. I knew something was amiss when we were still in the mountains and were almost there. It wasn’t large. It had no upscale shops. It was dead and run down. Only 2 shops were open and it was a Saturday. Topanga Canyon is a fun laid-back hippieish place place. Lots of interesting shops with handmade or locally made, locally produced items and goods.
