Endless Color — Restaurant in California

I recently had the pleasure of dining at 'Endless Color' in Topanga Canyon, and what an experience it was! This charming spot is a dream for anyone who loves dining al fresco. The outdoor seating is simply picturesque, offering a beautiful view of the canyon. They do have a bit of indoor seating, but trust me, you'll want to be outside soaking in the gorgeous weather and atmosphere.

The food? Absolutely fantastic. We decided to be adventurous and tried nearly everything on the menu. The star of the show for me was the gluten-free pizza crust. I've had my fair share of gluten-free options, but this was something else – soft, flavorful, and didn't feel like a compromise at all.

Salads here are not your afterthought side dish; they're fresh, balanced, and a delight in every bite. Now, let's talk about the short rib pasta. If I could, I'd write a love song about it. It was that good – the meat was tender and flavorful, and the pasta cooked to perfection.

The sea bass deserves a special mention too. It was cooked perfectly, and the hint of lemon was just enough to enhance the flavor without overpowering the fish.

The only dish that didn't hit the mark for me was the crab Louie. It came across as a bit too salty and heavy on the mayo, but that could just be because it was one of the last dishes we tried.

We visited Endless Color after we completed a long hike and were very pleasantly surprised with the quality and freshness of the food.

This restaurant was EXTREMELY busy; immediately after we ordered people just kept coming in the door and were lining up all the way out of the door. We ordered several salads, pizzas, drinks, and more.

I don't remember the name of the gentleman who was running around doing everything, but he was simply amazing. Despite being put under a lot of pressure during the large rush he was still super polite with people and tried to help out as best as he could — despite so many customers coming back inside after ordering to ask for extra things.

It was super obvious they were busy, and most people were polite and understanding of the large rush. There were some customers who were just being rude to him for no reason as if they didn't have eyes and could see the sheer number of people who were piling in the door — plus the tables that have already ordered. It wasn't like they were even waiting that long, maybe 10 minutes.

Definitely give them a shot, everything we had was delicious but please be patient with them if they are in a wild rush like what we witnessed. They're doing the best that they can with the staff they have. Thank you for the excellent service, and we will definitely return...

I was really looking forward to this place for lunch after a LONG morning hiking Eagle Rock and it just fell flat. It is counter service and there is not a very good way to view the menu until you are right up to the counter so everyone had to read, decide and order at the counter which took way too damn long. Then the food was fine but for the price I was expecting more. And I did buy a bottle of wine but it tasted as if it had been stored improperly. In fact most of the bottles I saw looked kinda old and dusty and I was unsure of the quality yet they all cost upwards of $38-45. There are only a handful of places to sit inside so instead we sat outside where we were cold the whole time. I really wanted it to be picturesque and awesome but it just wasn’t. The little town of Topanga surrounding Endless Color felt the same - hyped, overpriced, chintzy. Like they know they draw people in from the Canyon and hiking and then since there are no other nearby options can be blah but cost like they are ohhhh ahhh.
