Couple things to know when reading my review:
I worked at Yelp for years and understand the power of a 1 Star Review and I give businesses the benefit of the doubt 100% of the time. I read many reviews BEFORE dining here.
I was hoping I wouldn't have to deal with the employee everyone has reviewed so poorly, but unfortunately there he was when we walked in. To avoid confrontation, the plan was simply to order, take the food, eat it and leave. First off, the guy could not care less that you're there. He barely cracks a smile, engages in zero conversation and is far from helpful. I can look past all that as just a guy who's parents never loved him. My 1 year old daughter was with us at the time and one thing she loves is handing the credit card to the employees and then taking it back. This guy LITERALLY SNATCHED the credit card from her hand with no smile. If we didn't live in CA where a legal battle would surely ensue, I would have slapped the soul out of this guy.
The food was OK. I don't care how good the food is though. If you are so negligent to the reviews of your business and to the kinds of people you hire then you deserve to fail. I truly hope the 1 star reviews keep coming until this guy is let go. If he is the owner, then God help you because no one else can. This will catch up to you and you'll dip into 2 star/1 star range.
Happy to update my review but you would literally need to fire this guy, pay for my Uber there and back and include...
Read moreI normally make this a meeting place in Topanga.. it's close to cute stores and the food is simple.. but the lady did something today that really threw me. This is a small community with very chill vibes based on trust makes you feel like you're in a small town where everybody knows each other... When I ask for the bathroom key she insisted that I give her my car keys. ??? I'm not in high school walking around with a big backpack so it's so weird and although I had breakfast there it's making me never want to go back ... It was awkward and immediately created an atmosphere of authoritarianism and mistrust. I choose to go to support her business but no one wants to be made to feel like they're going to steal something as stupid as a bathroom key. Any small business should base their existence on trust familiar atmosphere not that. She's the owner I hope she knows she just cost herself a bunch...
Read moreOne thing I love about coming to a place like this is a place called the water lily café your walk in you’re instantly greeted, it’s like coming home to a family restaurant but I had to try to pastrami wrap.
Now I have to try it 1 million more times what they have to serve is absolutely delicious food and comes up quickly also got great outdoor seating.
but I couldn’t stop there I had to have the organic P soup now it’s totally vegan so don’t expect any ham, but that’s OK tasted just as good!
Followed up by a breakfast wrap, we absolutely love this place and recommend coming here and sitting out front and meeting some...
