Greentree Centre — Local services in Caledonia

This shopping center is central to east Caledonia residents, especially if traveling to Mt. Pleasant is inconvenient or a drag. It's essential I would think for those seniors living on the grounds north of the Center, especially since some may no longer drive. There has been some store turnover history. What is desperately needed is a replacement for the Kmart space. A department store Walmart would be the most helpful. There already is the Pick'n'Save for groceries, and we really need a clothing store on this side of town near where these seniors live (price wise, too). Besides this, there's mainstays with McDonald's and the 24-hour Walgreens, plus a Cost Cutters, a Cousins and our favorite, King's Wok. The diner doesn't serve supper, fyi. Wingstop is newer, and other stores are shifting some. Overall, Greentree Centre is critical to us on the northeast side. I hope more stores will settle...

I stop at this place almost daily for something, they have a PicknSave which is a must have. A 24 hr. Walgreens which is a blessing with an 85old mother-in-law with COPD and my wife with her liver condition. A Cost Cutter's which is nice and they know what they are doing and another must have is King Woks Chinese which is great for take out right now with Covid very careful and the food is a B+. We have DAD's Diner (Douglas Ave Diner) which has a kind of 50's theme , but food is decent and they have breakfast all day. Who can complain about having a McDonalds near you ? Soo you can see why I would stop here daily on my way home which is literally 2-3 mins...

I really dislike the Pick N Save at this location. The aisles are very small (there can really only be a couple of people in an aisle at a time and you're usually waiting for someone to move to get to an item). The people that stock at this location are very inconsiderate; they can see that you are trying to get to an item and instead of stopping to move or waiting to stock, they continue to stock items. The other stores at this location are mediocre at best also. I usually will drive farther out of my way to go to any of these stores in this center, unless absolutely necessary that I need to go here, but I'll...
