China Garden Restaurant — Restaurant in Callahan

My wife and I usually get take out from here 1-2 times a month. Over the past few months we've noticed a severe drop off on the quality and quantity of food. This past Monday my wife stopped by there to get us dinner and bring it home. She ordered the Chinese Vegetables with Shrimp and White Sauce and she got the General Tso Chicken for me. When she got home we realized the her dinner was missing the shrimp and the cabbage was brown. With my order the broccoli didn't taste good and I love broccoli even raw and the chicken didn't taste very good either. That'll be the last time we get food from the China Garden. I used to love the food at this particular restaurant. Last night I ordered my usual, General Tso's Chicken Combo. When I got home I found that the first piece of chicken had an ever so slight hint of a fishy flavor (probably from old oil used when frying). The second piece I took from the bottom of the container, sitting in the sauce. That piece tasted like chlorine. Judging from the way the chicken was stuck together and how thick the sauce was I'll assume that my food was reheated in a microwave as well. I ordered chicken lo mein but was given shrimp lo mein. I decided to ignore the issue because they had never messed up my order before. However, my husband ordered General Tso's chicken. The chicken tasted like straight bleach! My husband tried and bite and spit it it out immediately. I called the restaurant asking for a refund and explained that we live in Hilliard so it's a bit of a drive to go there. They refused to give us a refund without us returning the food despite the fact that we live out of the way. We will not be doing business here again!!
