ALDI — Local services in Calumet Township

Usually when I shop here especially for Insta cart orders it’s fine. But today I feel I was racially profiled by the white but with the gray hair who rang me up today. I greeted him with a hello and he was silent. When I finished packing the order and was about to exit the store. He stopped me saying “hey did you come in with a cart?” I said no because I did not understand what he meant at first and then I continued and said oh yeah I got it from outside (with my quarter) and he tried to take the cart from me as if I have any interest in stealing a cart from aldis. ALDI is a surprisingly good grocery store. The fresh foods (eggs, meat, veggies, etc.) are really good quality. They always have what I need in stock (with very rare exceptions). I still go to Meijer once a month, but that's just to stock up on things other than groceries. I can't speak to the quality of the off-brand junk foods like chips, cereal, and the like since I don't eat them, but they've got a bunch of that stuff too. And it's only three aisles, so you can be in and out in ten minutes. I particularly recommended the strip steak (I don't buy steak anywhere else anymore).
