Worst Menards I have ever been to. First when I walked in Essence was working the service desk and did greet me as I came in for an exchange. As I was walking she yells in the nastiest voice "WHAT'S IN YOUR BAG!?" I responded with "excuse me?" she then cleaned it up and said "do you have something you want to check in?" I said "yes, if that is your policy for a return or exchange." She then snatches the bag once I walked back and set it on the counter, she them proceeds to look in that bag to see the contents. After that awkward exchange with her rude self, I proceeded to ask a guy who was setting up a display where the tool bags were. He said "I'll show you" which was great except for he was almost running to the aisle he was attempting to show me. He got there before i did, by the time I got to the aisle he was walking back past me. I won't be back to this location the one in Hobart is 1000% better gary/Griffith needs training in...
Read moreAt this Menards location I was accused of stealing. I voluntarily follow the rent a cop into this tiny dark room where he proceeded to intimidate me and try and scare me with threats, threats of legal proceedings, and threats of calling the police. He use these threats to try and coerce me into signing a piece of paper that I imagine is an admission of guilt. They could never prove that I stole something because I never stole anything. Store manager tells me we’re dropping it just don’t ever let me hear about you stealing again. Weeks later I go in there and when checking out, I find the police there. The rental cops were posturing the cops were cool. Apparently, now if I go there, despite having been told I could go there, I’ll be trespassing. They have no evidence of me stealing anything yet. I’ve been banned from going there. I think there’s a legal case here against these...
Read moreBeen a long time Menards customer, this store in Gary has some of the worst carpet cleaners around. Ive rented them three times, two times the machines were faulty, and each time the employees made a big deal about the broken machine not being perfectly clean. I was never able to actually use the carpet cleaner due to the brushes being jammed as soon as I turned it on, just like the first time i rented their product. I'm sorry if i'm in the wrong but i'm not going to take the time to clean a broken machine knowing that i'm going to need to clean the machine that actually works. If a business is going to charge for a product at least make sure the products work before you rent them out. Hoping that the new Menards being built in Griffith IN will have better products. If not the is always lowes and Home Depot. RIP...
