Nordic skiing done right! Sled hill for kids. Easy to hard trails for skiers. (Even the hardest trails are laid out to be skier friendly; challenges but not crazy.) Trails for skiing with your dog. Trails for snowbikes. Trails for snowshoes. Great high tech grooming, always in the best condition possible. Chalet has changing area, wax bench, bathrooms, limited food and snacks.

In the summertime, there are a multitude of fantastic bike trails to enjoy. We rode blue trails that my husband describes as 'easy' while I was thoroughly challenged enough to need a day for my hands to recover from gripping the bike handles so tightly. Great trails and fun times!

When you combine record annual snow totals, a bunch of crazy, happy yoopers and a bunch of groomed ski trails, this is what you get. Swedetown offers nearly endless skiing at a good price. pass includes access for a dog which is a nice touch. 10/10 total gem.

This is a large and wonderful trail system, both winter and summer. Trails extend for miles and run all levels of difficulty from true beginner up to moderately advanced. Nothing here is a double-black-diamond but there are fairly challenging single diamonds along with a great range of intermediate and easy options.

In winter, nearly all trails are limited to specific uses, with dedicated ski, fatbike, and snowshoe trails separate from each other. There is a small set of trails off a separate trailhead which is multi-use in winter.

In summer, all trails are multi-use, so keep your bike speed reasonable, or keep your head up if you're walking. That said, few walkers go on the blue and black singletrack trails, which have about 99% bike use.

All trails are 2-way in summer. Most ski trails are 1-way but not all, especially the wide "Valley Trail," so pay attention to signs.

There is also a good winter fatbike series of trails, which is mostly different from the summer MTB trails. These are a solid blue but a good option.

There is a modest but useful chalet for restrooms, changing and warming up.

It's a fantastic...

Old school rake and ride trails. The way it used to be! Signing is very good. There were only two junctions, as a first timer there, that I became confused. One was at a section they were just rebuilding and one at a connector to the south side trail. But, by the time you read this, the trail rebuild will most likely be done, and it may have been something I overlooked in missing the South Side trail. The trails, like I said, are old school with all the fun of rocks and roots. So where it may not be a climbing workout, the roughness will put you and your suspension...

Very nice bike trails. Lots of enjoyable ins/outs. But the Township definitely needs to spend on trail maintenance and markings. Thankfully someone dropped some homemade trail markers made from plastic and a Sharpie at various points. Very confusing between ski and bike trail markings. Having a map didn't help much either. Pay close attention to your starting point and at trail...
