Dollar General — Local services in Calumet Township

With a small town, I shop here a lot and have the same rude experience with the older lady( manager) and one other coworker who literally won’t look up at your face and scan your stuff, throw it in bags, breakable and all. No hi, no goodbye, no eye contact, it’s weird and astonishing how these people have this job working with public. Older woman today just threw 2 breakable plants with ceramic vases in bag with other stuff and large glass candle. As soon as I got my change she started running off, I told her yet again no hello and she is rude as usual and I sat and rebagged my own breakables. She literally didn’t respond or look at me when I told her and I than told her I was reporting her to corporate. Still no response no eye contact. The place is also a mess all the time, you have to maneuver around carts and stuff all over. Messiest, dirtiest dollar general...

They normally have anything I need but feel bad for the staff two ppl at all times they are over worked alot of responsibility run cash registers stock shelves clean restrooms an whole building! They should have more staff at one time so they can share responsibility of things that need to be taken care of! They get lots of stuff in shipments and they never have enough time to put stuff away and organize each shelf! Sad to watch good people get...

This is the worst Dollar General in the whole area. Half the time when I try to go here there is a sign on the door that says "we are temporarily closed." I'm not overreacting, they literally close the store all the time during business hours. I don't think corporate would be very happy to know they are closing the store.
