ALDI — Local services in Cambridge

My one issue with this store is with one particular cashier, and according to my latest receipt her name is Jackie. She upset me so much that I contacted Aldi customer service. She's always been rude and nasty whenever I've checked out (when I need to use cash). I've brushed it off and went about my day. Yesterday, she made me upset and angry. First, I had two transactions and had them separated with the bar. During the first one she reached over it without even paying attention and scanned it. I said wait no that's supposed to be separate. She then asked me why I didn't have it separated (mind you the way she talks to customerservice is appalling, she's nasty and talks down to you). I explained I did have it separated. Then she acted mad at me for using two $20s to pay for a $22.52 transaction. I said there's only $20s sorry. Then here we go to mine. I only had one item that cost $3.79. All I had were $50s, had nothing else. But I thought grocery stores break bills all the time. When I tried handing her the $50, she just looked at me and said she was taking that big of a bill. I said ummm it's money why not? She said she refuses to take it cause it'll take all of her $10s and $5s. I said don't you guys have more money in back in case you run out of bills....I don't understand? She said no she demanded a smaller bill. I'm like lady all I have are $50s and $1 and change. She said well I'm not taking a $50 for something that cost $3.79. She said I just gave you change (from the first order) why can't you use it? I said because that isn't my money! I was so upset at this point that I start tearing up cause of the way she was talking to me and making such a big deal out of it. A customer comes up and starts putting her items on the conveyor. The cashier must've realized she had to be nice now cause someone was there, cause her attitude completely changed. She's like ohh let me check my drawer and see if I have enough. I said NO forget it. I'll count out change....I just don't understand why you're so mad at me for wanting to pay with a $50? She's like oh no I'm not mad. Most people now use their debit or credit cards...i just ignored her at this point. Like I said she was pretending to be nice cause someone else was there now. I will NEVER go in there again while this woman is working. I'm waiting to contact Aldi with more details. She shouldn't be working in this field if she hates people. There's no reason to be disrespectful and nasty like that! Aldi needs to screen their...

I have been trying to contact corporate but can find no way to send an email. Its as if they don't want to hear from customers. I rarely do a formal complaint, but I feel I must. I frequently shop at his location. Its where I do most of my grocery shopping. However, on my last visit I discovered that the restrooms have been closed to customers. It is not uncommon that I need the facilities in order to finish my shopping as I am sure many customers do. The cashier (somewhat smugly) said that someone has trashed the restroom and this way they won't have a problem anymore. Well, I'm sorry, but you have a new problem. Walmart across the street has restrooms open, and if I have to go there to use their facilities, I will. And since I'm there, I might as well do my shopping there. I will not lie and say I will not shop at Aldi, but I will only get the few things I can't find across the street. If someone drops a jar of jam and breaks it will they stop selling jam? If someone's kid throws a loaf of bread on the floor will they stop making bread available? This is incredibly short sighted on...

Just to clarify my one star rating would most definitely be a 0 star rating if the option was available! Is the Cambridge Aldi under new management or something? The only good thing about my 4-8-22 store experience was the cashier who has been there for a while very nice professional person. See my wife and I are regular shoppers at this perticular store but if it's not ran by someone new than this inflation has really took its toll on this lady and older gentleman employees there because I'm not positive but he must be playing security guard or something because he literally was told to watch us shop for some reason you're guess is as good as mine because we have never had a issue at this establishment but if this is the type of business there running they just lost a customer and I will be spreading the word to my fellow Americans on...
