I bought a new entry door for my home from the Cambridge Menards. It was a special build-to-order top-of-the-line Mastercraft composite entry door to the tune of $1400+. I scheduled a contractor to install the door after it arrived. After the door was installed, it was discovered that the lock cylinder locations on the jamb were way off center to the locations on the door and the door was perfectly installed, swinging perfectly with a perfect reveal. This was CLEARLY a quality issue from the manufacturing process. Being that the old door that was removed from the opening was no longer serviceable, I had no choice but to continue with this new door with the quality issue. The contractor had to return the next day with some different equipment to correct the quality issue with the door, which added a $200 charge to the installation cost. To make a long story short, I returned to the store with my concerns once I finally found a millwork employee. The employee, did acknowledged that "yeah, we have had some similar complaints on that same issue" and gave me an email to send my concerns to the manufacturer. The manufacturer basically replied with "we're really sorry, we'll let our quality team know", and let me know they don't refund any money to cover issues that they caused on what was supposed to be THE BEST door they sell. I went through all the necessary steps to let them make it right, and now they have earned themselves a 1-star review because of how this issue was handled. Shop elsewhere, there are choices, and other stores make employee satisfaction a priority, MENARDS CLEARLY DOES NOT! EDIT/UPDATE: I was contacted by the store general manager based on this review, and based on that reply (I really wish they would reply here publicly with their resolution), I would give this store ZERO stars, if it were an option. Menards really needs to take a good, hard look at their management personnel, it's literally laughable but at the...
Read moreThe Cambridge, Foerst Lake & Blaine Mebards, I've had very much the same experience at all three. It seems as though when you need help you cannot find one single employee to help you out! When you found what you need you're being stalked by employees as though you were a thief. This is so annoying! The store is so poorly laid out where as to find items that are in they're weekly ad is near impossible without asking an employee where this item may be. I went in for 4 items and I was there two and a half hours trying to get my items I needed while there. I had to make three trips to the customer service counter two trips unnecessarily to check out counter. Each time waiting at the customer service counter for at least 8 customers in front of me & at the check out at least 3 customers were in front of me. Lennar just getting as bad as Walmart by only having one maybe two checkout lines available and one maybe two people to help you behind the service counter ! This being at the Cambridge location! I would not recommend Menards to anyone that doesn't know the store really well. The employees that did help me at the Cambridge location we're very nice and very professional! On the same day I picked up 4 very large tubs that were very heavy but after going to the customer service counter I had to make a trip back again to receiving; the gentalman put the heavy box of my tubs into my cart so tightly when I went to unload them in to my SUV not only were they heavy but now they were jammed into my cart and once again not an employee Insite to help me out unloading them! As you can see I'm very frustrated with all three locations of Menards. It will be a long time before I go back! They really need to figure out a new system for the way they lay out there weekly ad items! all three stores are completely disorganized when it...
Read moreI recently purchased a range stove from Mendars(whirlpool), and I must say that my experience has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. After bringing the stove home, it became apparent that it was not functioning as it should. I immediately reached out to their customer service, hoping for a prompt resolution.
To my surprise, I encountered resistance from the store when I requested a replacement for the faulty stove. Despite having purchased protection for the appliance, they were unwilling to acknowledge the issue and provide a replacement. This lack of accountability and willingness to stand behind their products was truly disheartening.
As a last resort, I contacted the company directly in hopes of a resolution. While they did send a technician, the outcome was far from satisfactory. The technician's response, claiming that the stove's performance was acceptable, left me baffled and frustrated. I had expected a brand-new appliance to work flawlessly, and this experience has shattered my confidence in both the product and the store.
This entire ordeal has been incredibly inconvenient and has resulted in additional costs and time spent dealing with the issue. I had hoped for a seamless shopping experience and a reliable product, but unfortunately, I have been left feeling deceived and let down. I strongly advise potential customers to think twice before making a purchase from [, Mendars my experience indicates a lack of commitment to customer satisfaction and product quality I won't to buy anything from Mendars bad quality and...
