Do you have furniture in need of repair/restoration? It will be safe with the skilled artisans at King's Mill in Campton Hills.
Keepsakes are treasures!! And, our treasured old cupboard was in need of help. Finding the perfect people for a project is rare -- people who care about their work, are kind and fair, and have extraordinary communication skills.
If you have a piece of furniture you treasure, it will be safe with the lovely people at King's Mill in Campton Hills. Haydon and Josh listened to and heard every bit of what we said we wanted. They kept us informed throughout the process and showed us the cupboard at each stage. We chose paint, made decisions about the finish, and then they had us look at their progress, making sure it was what we wanted. They completed everything with such precision, including repairs, installing new hardware, and working miracles with special lighting. And then the cupboard was delivered to us with great care.
Soon after, I was in a major home furnishings store where a sales associate recognized the King's Mill name and said she had heard that they were expensive. I replied that we had estimates from another refinisher who quoted us $1,000 more. And, in addition to the cost, you have to consider the joy of working with really fine craftsmen who also happen to be very nice people.
We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome and highly recommend the artisans at King's Mill for your treasures that are in need of some tender loving care. They are simply the best!!!!

Read moreI brought in a chess board made of ebony and walnut woods. The piece was faded, the wood was twisted, and the small drawers underneath didn’t open. Despite the condition, it was a very lovely piece. I tried to salvage the wood by hydrating the piece to take out the twist, which I did successfully do but the wood in dehydrating again, shrank - a lot, and now it was in a worse condition with the individual chess squares shrinking and splitting. That’s when I sought help. The King’s Mill took it on, and some time later, I received a call that they had finished their work. The workmanship and high standards made the wait well worth it. What I particularly noted was that when the piece proved to be more of a challenge than expected, the King’s Mill kept to their word and standard. They did not cancel the project, and they did not charge over their quoted price. They were willing to communicate and kept me up to date. They are delightful to work with. I am impressed. I am thankful for their integrity. This was not an easy project, and it was not easy for me to temporarily let it go. I am...
Read moreThe table looks BEAUTIFUL finished. But I took in a 100% functional table. Spent 3k to upgrade the color and fix tiny little wear spots. Got back a dining room table that I can't put anything on. Nothing. Not even the $600 table pad can be put on the top without leaving scratches and marks. Every time I see the table I want to cry because of the waste of time and money. Do more research than I did and ask more questions if you're thinking about getting a piece done that you want to do more than dust. Now I can't even see the table I spent 3k on because I have to put pads and a table...
