So I'm from the south, and was told upon visiting the northwest that "nobody makes biscuits & gravy like your Nana". Well, those people were right - Gwynn's biscuits & gravy were nothing like my Nana's... they were better! Southerners use sausage, flour, milk, and maybe some salt & pepper. Gwynn's had the enlightened idea to add in onions and some herbs as well, giving the gravy a depth and complexity traditional southern gravy lacks. We also had an English muffin that paired apple with sharp cheddar and a fried egg with a chive spread, as well as a gluten free donut and marionberry sour cream muffin - all were fantastic!! The coffee was pretty great too😁

Have enjoyed this place since the first time I tried it. The atmosphere is quiet, calm and relaxing. The decor is country home mixed with comfortable modern furnishings. The staff has always been inviting, pleasant and efficient. The drinks have always been splendid, and the sweet treats are a solid 9/10. I haven't tried the food (paninis, etc.), so I can't comment on those, except to say that they have food options that sound tasty. Highly recommend!! Stop in and enjoy a nice cup and a little peace and quiet. 💜💜💜

Gwynn’s CoffeeHouse is arguably my favorite place to work away from my office, meet with clients and friends, and stop in for homemade soup. Not to mention amazing coffee drinks and service from kind people who make you feel like you're part of the family. Plenty of tables and space available but with the cozy feel of a small corner coffee shop. When you're tired of corporate coffee and can spend a few moments deviating from the drive through, a trip to Gwynn's in downtown Canby is worth it!

The customer service is just lacking here. I went in one morning and ordered a bacon egg and cheese. Breakfast sandwich on a bagel. After waiting, probably around 15 minutes for the sandwich it came out and was missing the bacon and was on a croissant instead of a bagel. When I pointed this out to the staff, they seemed annoyed by it. And when they went to remake the sandwich, they told me that I needed to pay an additional $2 to upgrade the sandwich to a bagel sandwich after I had already paid because they “ didn’t ring it in as a bagel sandwich”. So after about 25 minutes from the initial order, I finally received the correct sandwich. As I’m leaving, I give the incorrect sandwich I had received originally back to the staff and I get a dirty look from the cashier for not wanting to keep the sandwich.

While the food was good, the lack of customer service and just unfriendly attitude of the staff makes it hard to ever want to...

I hate writing bad reviews, it's depressing and no one likes to hear their favorite places had issues.

This morning is no different. I stopped in for a breakfast burrito and a coffee. Pretty fast and simple order. Things started down a bad path when I popped the lid on my coffee to add sugar and discovered the creamer was bad (floaters and clearly separated dairy). The young ladies working the counter were great, they swapped out my cup and discovered that 3 of the creamer containers from the fridge were bad. They came up with some that was fine, handed me my burrito and off to work I went. I got to work, and started in eating the burrito ~ this is where things went really down hill. The potatoes were old, not fully cooked and spongy. There were several that had black inside the potato itself. I ended up picking all the potato out of the burrito and eating...

I was in town for a swim meet, and I always try to hit the local coffee shop if I can. I was greeted by everyone behind the counter in a friendly manner, something woefully missing in a lot of shops. I got a caramel latte and a cinnamon roll. The coffee was nice and strong (it tasted more like espresso than pure sugar), but not bitter like *bucks and others. One of the better drinks I've had for a long time. Keeping in mind that the cinnamon roll had been sitting out all morning (I dropped in at 11a), it was a corner roll, and that it was cold (they asked if I wanted it warmed, but I was taking it to go), it was still soft and very tasty, with just the right amount of cream cheese icing (not see-through, but not 1" thick). Had it been earlier in the day and warm, I'd imagine hot gooeyness would have been abundant. If I'm ever in town again, this is on the...
