Recently, I took my elderly mother into Greco Jewelers in Cape Coral to re-size her watch band. The people at Greco spent a considerable amount of effort to make sure her new watch fit perfectly. At the end, they let me know they weren’t charging us anything for the extra time and expertise. When I asked why, they said that they, too, had been caregivers and that they understood what it takes to care for a loved one in their 90’s. In other words, they gave me a break because they empathized with my ongoing situation. This is HUGE. It isn’t the money they saved us, though. It is about the generosity of their hearts. In today’s profit based, bottom line oriented culture, you rarely experience this kind of gesture, decency and compassion in the midst of a business transaction. It’s usually all about the money, and how quickly you can complete the purchase and move on to the next customer. Not at Greco Jewelers. And when you think about it, their selfless action to make my nearly-blind mom’s life a few degrees better by fitting her with a special watch to tell her the time speaks volumes about the kind of people they are and how they must conduct the rest of their business. I moved to cape coral about 6 months ago and have been driving to port charlotte to the jeweler that i have used for many years. So i decided to try to find one in the area closer to home. I needed some links removed from a new watch and a battery for another. The first one i went to closest to my house wanted $20 to remove the links, less than a 5 minute job, and the lady gave me the rudest look when i questioned the price. I then went by Greco jewlers and there was a sign on the door that said closed today for a wedding but will reopen tomorrow. So i decided to wait and went back this morning. I was welcomed nicely as soon as i walked in and helped promptly. He talked with me as he took the links out and made sure the watch fit the way i wanted. When i asked how much i owed him, he said its on the house today since your a nurse, and he apologized for being closed yesterday. Its hard to find honesty and good customer service now days but you will definitely get it here. I dont usually take the time to write reviews but i wanted to make sure they get the recognition they deserve and to show my appreciation......

Great experience !! I was looking for a gift for our 20th Anniversary, which is "emerald", and also happens to be my wife's birthstone. I went to Greco Jewelers out of curiosity as it is mostly diamond jewelry. They had a pair of emerald earrings surrounded by diamonds in the display. Very small emeralds and diamonds. Nice, but to me it was all about the emeralds. Lenny told me to wait a minute, he had something in the back that I might like, and came out with a pair of earrings with beautiful diamond cut natural emeralds. ( while searching all of the other jewelry stores, I found all pear shaped stones and mostly lab- grown). The problem was they were yellow gold and my wife prefers white gold to match all of her other jewelry. He asked when I needed them. It was about 10 days. For the same price, he made white gold settings for those emeralds and a few days later I picked up her earrings. The perfect gift for the occasion! I would recommend Greco Jewelers to anyone looking for great quality jewelry. And they are the nicest people that go out of their way to please their customers. I will definitely be back...
