Karsten's Ace Hardware — Local services in Carefree

Awful management!!! My parents' neighborhood is located right next to this location, and The Ace Hardware fire alarm was left on ALL NIGHT. The fire department arrived when it started going off at 8:30pm, found no fire, so they contacted Ace management and asked them to send someone to turn off the alarm. The fire department said that Ace management REFUSED. Apparently, Ace decided they DON'T CARE about all the people (that WERE potentially regular customers) who are their neighbors NEEDING SLEEP tonight. It seems they decided to leave the fire alarm BLARING ALL NIGHT, from 8:30pm until 6:50am in the morning! Everyone in the neighborhood is FURIOUS. They will NOT get ANY of these neighbors' business. The alarm was finally turned off at 6:50am, right before Ace opened at 7am. We called at 7am and Ace denied it was their alarm, even though the police and fire department said they had talked to Ace management and they refused to turn it off, so they wouldn't even take responsibility for their actions. The pictures show the back of the Ace building with the light flashing while the alarm blared....

I am a military vet, this store offers a military discount like many do (Home Depot, Lowe's, etc) and you have to sign up for their rewards program to take advantage of it (unlike Home Depot, Lowe's, etc...you just have to show an ID). So I get $5 off Reward Coupon and attempt to use it and was informed by the cashier (Mary) that I could not use it since I already was getting a Mil discount. Nothing about that on the back of the card...she then informed me that I would be "double dipping" and that was illegal! The only way I could use it was to remove my Mil discount from my Rewards profile. Illegal, ummmm NO...convoluted store policy, YES! So what's the point of sending me Reward coupons if I can't use them? I guess Karsten's Ace Hardware offers a Mil discount to match Home Depot or Lowe's, but with strings. I can use coupons at either of those stores and still get my Mil discount on top...they value those who have served, Karsten's Ace Hardware obviously does not. At least I know who deserves...

Was happy to see a hardware store so close to our new home. I went in Friday for two specific items. There was an associate right inside the door who asked if I needed help. I told him what I needed and he led me to the aisle and then dissapeared. I was able to finally locate what I needed and went to power tools. 3 associates were standing nearby gossiping about someone quitting. I finally asked if one of them could help me. The associate was obviously irritated that I had interrupted them, and was very little help. Purchased one small item and the young lady at the register was lovely. Ended up ordering the power tool and accessories...
