The ambience was great, we had so much fun here. Couple of things that are true from other reviews, the skates are terrible, hard on your feet but that’s at any public ice rink. I use to go to the Galleria in Houston and it was the same generic skates but they do spray them with disinfectant spray after use, wear thick socks. It is crowded at first but after a bit it starts to clear out. Tickets do have to be bought a head of time. All the stores are outside, surrounding the rink and it was super crowded. There is limited free parking nearby-ish, otherwise there is a parking garage. The lines are super long to the more popular items like the sandwiches, brats and the potato slices on a stick. We ended up just getting the fries which were delicious and perfectly seasoned. Lastly, the little collectors mug seem like mass produced, most stands had them but didn’t stop me from buying 3 for my kids, $6/each. Over all, my kids loved the experience and so far their favorite part of the trip so if I had to weigh the pros against the cons i would definitely come back and do this. Also, be prepared to over pay on a...
Read moreA terrible experience indeed!!! Purchased tickets online only to find out there is a credit card fee for each ticket purchases as well as a processing fee on top of the prices listed- so expect multiple additional charges. We arrived at our allotted time only to find out that even if you purchase tickets online you still have to wait in the same line as those that did not. The line took about 40 mins to get thur due to the fact they only had two people working the checking in and their tablets were only working intermittently. Then once you get checked in then you wait in a second line to retrieve your skates and you must take off your shoes to give them in which the ground is wet so your skates cos are completely wet. Finally after an hour wasted then you get maybe 30 mins to skate of the hour and half you paid for. There were so many people on the ice it was like bumper to bumper traffic and could not enjoy to actually skate. There are many other ice skating places the run and much smoother and friendly operation. ...
Read moreA glorified photo op for families. As an avid winter sports person, I was really excited to skate and experience the market for the first time. The customer service left MUCH to be desired. No signage explaining where to go our to to que lines. If you want folks to buy tix in advance you should have a designated line for those people. The line is rather long to get in, but I did not have to wait as long as other reviewers. The worst part had to be the other skaters though. If you're an experienced skater you'll spend the entire time in an overcrowded rink dodging kids falling left and right (no cones or anything for beginners), families just stopping in the skate path to take a picture, and entitled families taking up a lot of space. Just because it's the holiday season doesn't mean you deserve to be treated as special. Its crowded and overpriced. I'd recommend trying a different skate place. I really hope they pay their employees well to put up with the BS, but yknow,...
