Bath Junkie — Local services in Carmel

My daughter was really excited to use a gift card she got for her birthday. Unfortunately, the person working who appeared to be either a manager or worse, the owner ignored us for about 20 minutes before we gave up and left. They were conducting an interview with a potential employee who frankly could have benefited from the lesson in prioritizing customer service over internal operational tasks. The irony is that we could over hear the interview questions, many of which focused on customer service facing skills, of which the individual clearly had none. We came back an hour later to have another person assist us and apologize for the previous experience. The same owner or manager came back during our transaction and still didn’t have the courtesy to even apologize for ignoring us. It’s a small store so they cannot say they didn’t see or remember us. We only returned because of the gift card but will never be back or recommend this to anyone based on that individuals behavior. She even brought up the importance of greeting customers during the interview! The sad part is that it would have been an excellent teaching moment to the potential employee on the importance of...

In person ( I live in Michigan) visit Carmel every 6-8 weeks depending on weather & work. Have been a Bath Junkie 'Junkie' for past several years....my son & his family moved there in fall 2012. Found this FABULOUS, female owned incredible business while browsing the shopping area in town. No looking back!!! Melissa is a kind, creative, personality. Very genuine & knows her products & clientele exceptionally well!! When I'm not in Carmel & if I'm 'running liw' on product, I either online or call in my order.Last weekend in Carmel...in POURING RAIN, I took my 7 yr old grandson, Chase, Melissa remembered him, to his delight. He purchased 'Bath Bombs' for himself & his 5 yr old twins brothers. Toys inside as the bath fizzie melts. Now THAT was a memorable bath time with 3 little DELIGHTED boys!!! Just an outstanding business & owner!! I'll be calling tomorrow...I 'lost' my CBD spray I JUST BOUGHT & used twice!! Tore the car apart searching...clothes, suitcase, too. I almost cried!!

Visited this morning to find a gift for my toddler daughter. What a treat to find that I could create my very own special scented hand soap- she even printed my daughter's name on the bottle, which will be super cool for her to see. (and let's be honest, anything to get a three year old to wash her hands!) I picked up a few goodies for myself, too, and I am plotting to figure out how to go back for a pampering party.
