I have been furniture shopping high and wide for the past several weeks to decorate my recently remodeled house, and have thusly dealt with a lot of salespeople at a lot of different stores.

The selection at CORT is about what you would expect from your standard furniture showroom, and the prices are respectable/ on par with average, but what sets this one apart from the others is the experience of dealing with the sales associates, specifically Donna.

Sales is a lost art. We are living in an age of ensh!ttification and "at-any-cost" corporate greed. I have been up and down with outsourced phone reps who can't answer simple questions, pushy in person tactics, flat out lying, a lot of laziness or no knowledge of the material they are selling, and worst of all (and what seems to get more and more common every day) is the busniess you are patronizing doing less and less for you, the customer, that is about to spend 4+ figures of money. Customers are told more and more to essentially do their own price comparisons, measurements, and check out process, which begs the real question in 2025... "why the hell do sales people exist other than to not help?" Donna was a ray of hope, a callback to sales people of a bygone era. I am a millennial, so not insanely old, and even when I was in retail back in the early 2000s, telling a customer to "google it" or "go figure it out online" would have gotten me fired at breakneck speed, now its just expected everywhere. Donna pulled up measurements, did comparisons, shared knowledge and experience, and even put massive confidence behind what she sold to a degree almost unheard of... she called other furniture stores, put them on speaker phone, pretended to be "me," and proved to me they couldn't help me and they were amateurs in the business. Honesty and effort work wonders, and CORT is going to be my first stop in any future furniture shopping as I renovate and redecorate more of my house.

This review isn't for the people just looking for a dinette set like I was, because you can truly get those anywhere, this review is for people that want shopping for a large purchase to be done with the confidence and quality it used to. On January 4, 2025 I was out looking for a sofa to use in our photography studio. I thought about CORT furniture outlet, a store I visited years prior. Wasn’t really sure if I wanted to visit the store, because years ago it was so cluttered and not very organized and I really did not want to go through all of that. But I went anyway and to my surprise, it was a lovely space to visit. The store was set up like any other furniture store. It was organized and set up with proper decor and accessories. The layout was refreshing and inviting. I could actually envision furniture pieces and accessories in my space so clearly. The color schemes were well placed. The customer service was excellent. I was greeted by a lovely woman named Donna who works there. . Donna was able to tell me clearly without hesitation about the pieces that interest me and gave me details on delivery as well. I shared with Donna my previous experience in visiting this location many years ago and she stated to me that she uses her interior decorating skills to place the furniture and accessories in a design style.
